Our 35 year old cedar shake roof was showing signs of weathering which was not surprising! I contacted 3 cedar shake specialists to examine our roof in Okotoks and provide quotations. It was a busy time of year and not all the quotes came to us quickly. I had verbally agreed to a single quote that was provided when Art at Arco called and we connected after trading phone calls for some time. I indicated to Art that I had committed verbally to one of the companies. Art was persistent and succeeded, in convincing us that he would provide a quote in short order and that he was very qualified to do the job. We were home when Dillon the estimator arrived at the house and we chatted while Dillon was on the roof doing the inspection. Dillon also convinced us that he was qualified and took significant time to discuss the condition of our cedar shake roof. When the quote arrived it was very detailed and competitively priced. While we were not home while the work was done we are very happy with the finished product and confident that our roof is back to protecting our house from the elements. All the ridge caps were replaced as well as underlay where required. The shakes installed appear to be of high quality and well installed. Afterwards we were able to meet Art over coffee to discuss the job, final payment and warranty. Art impressed us in the time he took out of his busy schedule to meet with us and answer any questions we had.
