Purdue's Painting

We were so lucky to have had Purdue's Painting recommended to us by a previous happy customer. The owner, Gordon, came to our home himself to assess what needed to be painted and to give us a quote. For the quality of the work done, the price was unbeatable. He made a separate trip just to ensure we were 100% satisfied with the colors chosen. He went above and beyond all of our expectations! He was friendly, professional, and efficient. Gordon's work was masterful and aesthetic. His paint strokes were seamless and the edges cut to perfection even in architecturally difficult areas. He also touched up doors, ceilings and baseboards that had been badly painted and damaged by a previous painter.
Thank you, Gordon! It now feels like more than a house -- it feels like our home. We are so excited to bring our new baby to live there.

My wife and I renovated an old home we bought. We tried to get as many trade referrals as possible as we have heard some horror stories. A friend had Purdue's paint there home and highly recommended them. We met with Gordon the owner and he explained the painters role in the building process very efficiently. He simplified the process and the end result of his companies work is better than we could have expected. We purchased expensive wood doors and they stained them beautifully. We are happy to write this review for this top notch company as they went above and beyond for us.

My wife and I bought our first house in Jan 2014. Our house was 10 years old and the paint color was awful, the previous owners decided to paint the entire house (walls, doors, trim, crown moulding) a disgusting yellow... it had to change. I was referred to Gord Purdue (Purdue's Painting) through a mutual acquaintance.

Gord came to my house, we discussed our vision for the color scheme and trim, he gave me a very fair price and offered to work around our moving schedule. Our house is 3000 Sqft w/ a finished basement with crown moulding and pillars; there was a lot to paint.

Gord worked around our schedule, he was professional, punctual, honest and delivered an exceptional paint job. During the process I had friends and family stop by, all of them were incredibly impressed with the workmanship and quality of the paint; My wife and I are ecstatic.

Without question Purdue's Painting should be the de-facto standard for residential paint work, I would refer him to anyone looking for a quality paint job.

Gord's name was passed onto us by a friend who had him do work. Gord from start to finish went above and beyond to ensure that the job he did was exceptional. Not only did he take the time and care to ensure that his work was beyond our expectations he also went behind the other trades and took the time to fix many of the issues that they created ( patching drywall - moving a light etc...). Gord was easy to work with and great at taking the time to help us visualize on a larger scale the colour choices. When we changed our mind Gord accommodated our requests without hesitation or cost. We've already passed Gord's name on to family and friends and will be bringing him back for any future work we do.
Gord was a lucky find for us. Would strongly recommend him to anyone.

I have a smaller home that needed an update to a more modern colour scheme. I contacted many companies and individuals for quotes as I usually do with any work like this. Purdue's wasn't the cheapest of the quotes but I had a good feeling after meeting the owner and pulled the trigger.

I must say Purdue's was well worth the every penny, the owner himself came to complete the work in my home, he was punctual , straight forward ( no surprises, had a plan, was easy to understand). I knew exactly what my options were and what I was paying for. Something that is rare with companies today and especially contractors.

His work quality was immaculate and he was very fast and efficient. Watching him work allowed me to appreciate the 20+ yrs of experience he advertises.
There is no way I could have matched his speed if I had done it myself (yes we all think we can do it like a pro at some point) nor do I think any major company could match the quality either.

To be clear I have had other people and companies paint for me before so I have a point of reference for comparison.

The passion for quality that Purdue's talks about shows and I happy to be the first review so that others can find this little Gem of a company.
