I didn't even get my plant! The guys were nice, hard-working, and strong as oxen, but not ready to move a "grown-up" household.
On arrival, they ran their truck into a historic tree (and were only concerned about their bumper, which they had to remove using tools they borrowed from me), they didn't know how to properly wrap furniture, they did an incredibly messy job of packing the kitchen, the wardrobe boxes they provided were so worn that they were falling apart, they damaged an exterior door trying to ram a couch through it (until I suggested that they stop shoving, take the door off of the hinges, and glide through gently), and they decorated my freshly painted walls with a bunch of handprints.
I don't fault the guys--the company should not have sent them into the field so undertrained or poorly vetted. My reason for going with You Move Me is that I bought into their promises of "a world-class, customer-focused moving brand". What I got was about as good as asking a bunch of buddies to move in exchange for a six-pack, a pizza, and some good laughs, but without the laughs.
Maybe it's my fault for trusting a junk removal company to handle my move--they are basically part of 1-800 GOT JUNK. Did I mention that I didn't even get my "housewarming plant we leave behind as a reminder of the experience"? Maybe they knew that the memories wouldn't be pleasant...
They were on-time enough, price was probably reasonable, there was no follow-up even through I sent the company a note describing my poor experience.
