We hired George for an inspection of an older home in Welland. George was able to fit us into his schedule within 2 days. We found the service excellent. His report was presented on the spot. He sent us several pictures with issues within 12 hours. Based on his report and findings we were able to negotiate with the seller and have a further $4,000 taken off the price of the home! We Hired George on very short noticed since the clause in our purchase agreement only allowed for 3 days! George was able to fit us in on a Sunday morning. When we arrived George was already there with his latter in place and ready to work. The inspection took about 3 hours and when he was done he went over the entire report including all of the highlights and areas of concern. One of the major things he found was the electrical panel that was a major fire hazard as confirmed by an Electrician we had come out a couple of days later. I would definitely recommend George to anyone looking for a great inspector and inspection report!

When they got to the house, they discovered the electricity had been shut off so couldn't do the entire inspection in one visit - when it was back on (the next week), they made a second trip out at no cost. George was very thorough with the inspection and very helpful. He provided a lot of useful home preservation tips in addition to a very detailed report. He also went over the report with us as we walked around the house. He was also very patient to all of our questions.

George was very professional from the time we first contacted him for a quote. We spent a lot of time conversing over the phone as we are from the U.S. and moving up to Canada. He arrived on time explained everything that was involved in the home inspection while going over the details of the report. At the end of the inspection George went over the details of the inspection. The insulation in the attic was partially Vermiculite which George explained may contain Asbestos. George said that the best way to know for sure was to have it tested for peace of mind. George took 3 samples and sent them to a lab for analysis. Three days later George forwarded us the lab results (a lab certificate) showing that none of the 3 samples contained Asbestos. This was a great relief for us and we then proceeded to purchase the home. I would easily recommend Home Sweet Home Inspections for a home inspection
