We are repeat customers. 1st job was furnace and electric box. Carl came immediately when we called for electrical outlet. Kind and efficient. Highly recommend his service. Felt comfortable with him and trust him to do the job right.

i am glad to use Karl as the electrician to do the work. He is honest, care of his work, take the time to explain and provide professional solution to tackle the issue. I will not hesitate to use him for any electricity works at my house again.

Before I found De Koning, I tried to get the quotation from at least 4 companies on Homestars, and several companies on google. However, none of them actually give me the quote. Most of them pick up my phone or reply my email said they will contract me in shot, but nothing happened. I know my job is a small job and time is tight. During the rush season, those companies maybe doesn't care my job. But if you don't want my job, just don't give me the hope and waste my time.
Since my stove will arrived at 4 days, I research again and found Karel from this company. He is very nice. He knows my concern, and quickly give me an approximately price, and made a time at weekend.
In the end, I really appreciate Karel made my job done. The gas line is installed nicely and professionally. And the stove set up and works very well. All the pressure test and certificate are all set. I'm highly recommend Karel De Koning to anyone who wants to do the gas line job.

We have been using De Koning Electrical and Mechanical since 2015 and are extremely well pleased with both the work and the other important things like communication, showing up on time etc. Jobs have included upgrading an electrical panel from fuses to circuit breakers and installing a whole house surge protector, installing stove fan, and various light fixtures and dimmer switches. De Koning Electrical & Mechanical completed two jobs successfully another electrician could not resolve and/or would take on. The first - troubleshooting why certain lights periodically would randomly go out for unspecified times then back on, and the second - installation of two breaker panels one replacing an odd sized fuse box in a confined area.
I have no hesitation in recommending De Koning and will use them for all future issues.

Was switching from gas to electric and had to get gas capped off, check some electrical stuff. I thought I needed a new electrical panel and did not as it turned out - he came on time, got the work done quickly, very polite and pleasant - he even showed me where to find valves to turn things on and off in the basement and outdoors should I need to. I am happy with the work and would hire again or recommend to anyone.

We woke up this morning to find that our furnace had died overnight, and with a rapidly cooling home. I called Karel, who was able to immediately schedule us in (and was over in less than an hour!). He was rapidly able to identify the problem with our furnace, source a replacement part, and finish the fix in a matter of hours. Amazing! And during the process, Karel gave clear explanations on what he was doing and gave helpful advice on how I should maintain the furnace and our electrical system going forward. My parents bought a new cook-top and a new oven. During installation, the cook-top was damaged because the installer put all the wires from the fuse box into one junction box. There was a huge spark and blew the wire of the cook-top. We thank God for Karel. He was able to install a sub-panel for the cook-top and oven. Everything is working perfectly and he has made it super safe. We are grateful for the wonderful job that Karel did!
