Garaage Door Installation Service

I'm very happy about the quality and service from this company. I had a broken garage door and they delivered and replaced a new one in 3 days time. Their price was very reasonable. Their salesman presented me all the options for their products and explained all details. Their installer did a great job. Very nice workmanship and professional. Strongly recommend this company.

My garage door opener was not working and I was not able to close the door. I called confidence door and they got to my house within 2 hours of my request. They fixed the door opener on the spot and charged me a reasonable price. The service was quick and inexpensive.

Poor Work Manners, Poor Service, Bad Selling/Pricing tactics

Highly "NOT" recommended.
One day my garage door stuck due to one cable broken. Found this nearby company from website, called its "on-the-road" technician. He came with a helper in the late evening and we struck deal to change pair of cables @$120 from $180. In the dark, he also sold me an idea to change the still working torsion spring @ $160, and I agreed (his office quoted me $140 in a later day) .

He only had in his van one * cable bracket of 1-3/8" (a $20 part) for the two cables, can't be help. When changing the spring , he also replaced the middle bracket that was used to hold the spring in place.

When work done, he sold me changing all rollers for $150 although they were still good. Being an easy going guy, I accepted his offer changing them next day evening. But he did not help to change the said * bracket, leaving me to shop around a pair somewhere else and to replace the remaining old rusty one myself.

About week after I found the middle bracket smashed. I called this technician again, he did not respond, so I call and visited his office (that's the time I found out I was over charged $20 for the spring). He then responded and came with a super bad attitude, telling me "this is my last re-work visit", in spite of the 6 month warranty on paper.

I hardly looked up the door until this happened, then I found the overhead shaft kept shifting from side to side on rolling door up and down, when up, the shaft was only held with 3/4" on one bearing. The shifting also caused a door corner hitting the cable spool. I searched websites, this shaft should stay without moving. I called and emailed them, not responding... weeks (if not months) after, the owner of this company came back to me with message like "my door was old" and told me to look elsewhere to fix. The fact is if my garage door were new, did I need these repairs? and after part-replacements, only the door panels and rails were old. I would have brought this company to law court, but too little for a hearing.

Two three months lapsed, when my neighbour installed door opener, that Tech only charged me $30 to set things straight. But I was told I was given a wrong spring, so that guy loosen the bearing screws to let it shift to exit the tension or smashing the middle bracket again.

Garage Door Issue - opening & closing on it's own

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE and owner Susan was extremely rude. Garage door was opening/closing on it's own, had them come to take a look, recommended I replace the logic board ($180) and proceeded to say our garage door springs were bad quality (installed by another company) so we replace all 3 (3 x $180). Waited for about a week, came to replace the logic board, continue to have the same issue, said they they don't know what the issue is and have to look into it. No follow up so I called them back a week later and they just kept stalling, 3 weeks later called again and said they have to look into the file. 4 weeks later I had to follow up again, called and owner Susan answered. She was not able to give me a straight answer, I was willing to pay in addition to fix but she did not let me explain, talked over me, called me unstable and hung up and blocked my number....it has been 3 months and still nothing. Honestly, I'm applauded at the way they conduct their business and how the owner treats their customers. Ended up disconnecting the control panel which solved the problem and bought a replacement online ($50). Not sure why they didn't suggest this cheaper solution in the first place. TOTAL FAILURE. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. STAY AWAY.

Damaged Motor Unit

My garage door opener started opening and closing constantly on its own. I call this company to take a look at it since they were the original installer of the garage door. I knew it was the motor unit because I disabled my only remote as well as the keypad.

During their service they noted that the torsion springs needed to be replaced and suggested me to do it. I agreed to this service and to be fair to them, it did make a difference.

However, they were brushing aside my concerns regarding the motor unit opening and closing by its own. After I kept bringing this up they suggested that replacing the safety sensors would solve this issue and so I agreed to have them replaced. Replacing torsion spring and sensors set me back 440 CAD.

A few hours after leaving I noticed my door started opening and closing on its own again. I called them and they suggested that I should change the whole unit this time to which I suggested if I should just replaced the logic board in the unit instead. I did a bit of research and it did make sense for me to replace my current unit as it was a very old one.

I felt like if they paid more attention to my original compliant we could've just changed the motor unit on the get go saving me time and money (replacing sensors did not solved this). I agreed to have them replace my unit but now at an extra cost of 450.... so overall they've charged me 850!

Their prices are fair, reason why I gave them 1 star instead of 0, but their service is horrible... and sales tactics unethical. You've been warned.

Commercial Garage Door Installs

Had 3 garage doors installed on commercial property. Shortly after the install, the door kept having an issue. Joe and his business partner insisted we were at fault. After giving them several chances to fix the problem, we ended in a pretty big arguement.

When it happened again, we called the manufacturer of the of the garage door opener and they insisted to send out a technician at no charge to look at the problem . Turns out it was faulty motherboards that were installed in the units.

Suffice to stay, I would never recommend these guys and for the amount of money we spent, we really hoped to get alot better service. TOTAL FAILURE. Stay away.

Great Job, Confidence Doors!

It was finally time to replace our garage doors after 20+ years!

Thanks to Joe, we were able to get a fair price, smooth transaction, and easy arrangement to have our new GARAGA garage doors installed in just under 1 week with our selected colour, design & door preference.

Everything looked the same as disclosed, and just the way we imagined it to be. It was installed in a timely manner. We had a minor issue with the rubber seal, but Joe came back very quickly as scheduled to have it fixed. My only little complaint was that we found fresh screws all over the driveway after the installation, but it only a took a few seconds to clear it all off.

After the new garage door installation, I must say it almost looks like a new house! So refreshing, thank you Joe for all your help!

To be honest, I was afraid to go with this company in the beginning because of all the negative reviews I saw online, but I’m glad my family and I decided to go with Confidence Door.

Overall a great experience, would highly recommend to family & friends!

Residential garage door installatino

I actually wanted to write this review on Confidence Garage Door Ltd (9120 Leslie Street, Unit 1, Richmond Hill, Ont. L4B 3J9) earlier by was preempted by high priorities…but also I did not want to put this up before the warranty expired.
In 2014, I engaged this company to replace my garage door. The product was good, CHI overhead garage door, but the service was terrible and the salesman (Joe) was arrogant. He explicitly implied that my business was so small to take it seriously.
First of all, they always missed their appointments. Usually the appointment was for a “day”, without specific time slot, and there were multiple times, after waiting for almost a whole day, they called me around 5pm cancelling the appointment. I escalated to the owner once, but the response was that he did not understand the reason of me being dissatisfied. Imaging a company could not manage its own schedule for the next 24 hours, but asking you to commit a time which is a month ahead!
Secondly, their craftsmanship was sub-standard. The pulleys and springs were not installed properly during the initial installation. Then I noticed that the tracks were not levelled and the salesman said it was not possible despite I brought pictures to show them. Instead the salesman, trying to take the opportunity to sell their high-end opener, blamed my garage door openers not working properly.
After fixing the track levelling problem, I found that the tracks were cutting into the door brackets. Should I have not found that, the brackets would be broken in 12 months.
The overall experience was terrible and emotionally taxing. I definitely do not recommend this company.

Installed garage door

They installed an insulated garage door for our home. They did an okay job. No strut was installed on our door, and the weather stripping used was fairly cheap, but their pricing was in line with what was provided.

unfaithful reparing work

The garage door was derailed because of roller rail were bent flat on both side. Called for this company for services, they replaced both toque springs and rollers, total charged around $580. They left with a gap on top of one side with 1/2" x 3' long gap. Call them again, after several calls they scheduled to come, but they didnt show up, instead they requested pictures sent by email. In the follow up call, they said the gap was original, they cant do anything about it.
overall experience from technician to their management team, a bad ,unprofessional service. not recommend to all.
