I was approached at Home Depot to have this service done, and the salesman assured me that the service is Home Depot staff and company, not sub-contracted. When the techs arrived, they were with Steam Dry. They charged me $30 extra for having high efficiency furnace (why?), tried to sell me other goods and services and the work was average. I requested drier-vent cleaning with the salesman, but that was not done (I did not get charged for that part, luckily). I am disappointed that Home Depot salesman did not disclose who the company really is, why go thru Home Depot when you end up with Steam Dry?

Hi Lucie,
Steam Dry Canada is not a sub-contractor for the Home Depot, we are the National Service Provider for the Home Depot across Canada. The duct cleaning process for systems with high efficiency furnaces requires multiple connections to bypass the secondary heat exchanger located in the cabinet of the furnace. This process takes additional time which is the reason for the extra cost. Our policy is to advise every customer of any additional costs prior to starting the service to eliminate hidden fee's which we all dislike. With regards to your discussion at the Home Depot I would like to hear more about this and invite you to call us at our office to discuss in person.
Thank you for your feedback.
