My wife and I decided to renovate/update our 60 year old two storey home. The project included replacing the entire kitchen, two washrooms, hardwood floors, staircases and railings, windows and doors, upgrading the electrical, removing portions of walls and modifying the main floor to provide one continuous ceiling throughout by eliminating valances, smoothing stuccoed ceilings and lifting areas above doorways and hallways. This work all to be completed while we resided out of town.

DTM Construction had worked on a number of homes on our street and was highly recommended. We visited three of their recently completed
projects - two of them very large renos and one smaller. Alone, we met the owners of each and all of them spoke very highly of the owner, Dan, and of the team. Integrity, reliable, involved, quality, were all words used to describe them and their work.

DTM Construction began work in May 2022 with an estimated finish in September. Throughout the entire project both Dan and every member on the DTM team made themselves available for questions and provided
progress reports and video walkthroughs.

At every visit, we found the site clean and the workmanship, exceptional.
Any issues that did arise, and as expected there were some, were
communicated to us promptly along with suggested work arounds.

We are thrilled with the end result and would not hesitate to recommend
DTM Construction. Within our budget and timeline, they worked to
transform our home with a result far exceeding our expectations. The
DTM team, their workmanship, and that of the trades they used - all top
notch.

DTM Construction, and Dan (Owner) specifically provided a superb level of communication and quality of service above and beyond most contractors. I lived in the loft during the full reno and every morning I would put my mattress in plastic protection and every night I came home I found the job site, my loft, spotless and he removed the mattress from the plastic and HE MADE MY BED EVERY NIGHT of the job duration. I could give many examples of the attention to detail he provides. He treats renovation work as he was doing it to the quality his own family would expect.

This contracting company is excellent. Dan, the owner, is very honest, transparent and reliable. Right from the beginning I was extremely anxious about doing a big renovation on my house (kitchen, living room, master bath), as it was the first time we'd be doing something like this. All I had heard was horror stories about contractors screwing people over. I met with several contractors that I found through Google and through referrals of friends. DTM was a Google search. I surprised myself by choosing this company over referrals because Dan was very reasonable and seemed very honest. This was true throughout the entire project. I was also very honest with them that I was very anxious, and was someone who needed to know every single detail and step, and would probably have many questions along the way. The team Dan chose to work on my house was amazing. Big Don, Colin, and Jeremy were amazing. Their work was superb. Their patience with me and my plethora of questions also deserves recognition and praise! The team's work was meticulous and they went above and beyond. The subcontractors that they use for specific jobs were also amazing. The work was beautifully done. The only thing I did not like was the job the painter did, he did not do a good job at first. I called Dan after seeing the painter's work, he came over immediately and noticed my concerns. The problems were immediately remedied. The house was primed and repainted. Even after that, Dan told me to make sure to let him know if I noticed any flaw and anything I saw, the contracting team fixed.
Their attention to detail throughout the whole project was wonderful. The constant communication and availability of the guys working was great.
They guarantee their work for a year which is great. There were a couple things that moved as the house settled, and DTM came back and fixed those things.
We are so happy with this renovation and so happy we went with this company. Highly recommend DTM!

We hired Dan and his team to do a complete renovation of our condo down to the concrete walls and back up. This included new electrical, plumbing, new kitchen, 2 new bathrooms, built-in's for walk-in closet, second bedroom closet and custom desk. They did plaster crown moldings throughout, v-board ceilings, new flooring, reclaimed barn-board accents on bulkheads, etc.
They turned our tired, dated, builder-basic, and cramped condo into an amazing space.
Throughout the entire process Dan & Team were amazing, from the design stage all the way to the end.

Dan and his crew are professional, clean, timely and excellent workmanship. Dan is very knowledgeable and easy to work with. They also have a good eye for detail. He and his crew take pride in their workmanship.

On our project, we hired DTM to renovate about 50% of our home. Dan and his crew were true professionals. They were very courteous and took great care of our home. They took the time to lay hardboard to protect all of the floors and sealed off any areas that they weren't working on to keep the dust out.

Many of the design elements we chose were very modern and minimal which required a lot of custom work and very precise finishing. Dan and his team were always up for the challenge and executed the designs beautifully. Throughout the project Dan was very accessible, easy to deal with and gave regular updates to ensure that everything was to our satisfaction. And the few times something wasn't up to our satisfaction, he made it right.

He planned and managed the project really well, which kept the schedule moving, so there wasn't ever any down time.

Our project completed on budget and in less time than estimated and we could not be happier with the results. I would highly recommend him his crew.

Dan's dedication and work ethic are absolutely phenomenal! He has so much passion for what he does and will work with you step by step to explain every aspect of the work. Dan and his team went above and beyond to get our basement apartment renovated which by the way was just concrete and dirt. We are very satisfied and impressed by the quality of work we received from DTM. The end results was more then exceeded our expectations.

Dan and his team will provide you with the best renovation experience - period. Quality workmanship with excellent design taste. These guys are true professionals in every sense of the word. Could not say enough good things about DTM. Professional, knowledgeable, clean, and within our budget. We had a basement kitchen put in, and the experience was seamless and very efficient. Dan and his DTM team finished a major renovation of my home at the end of 2016. This was something I had wanted to do for years but with hesitant due to previous bad experiences. Dan and team ware excellent! When Dan came to provide a quote I quickly realized that he was very personable, professional and so knowledgeable. I have an old house and wanted to mix the old with the new. I was finding it all very stressful trying to determine exactly what I wanted. Dan made it easy for me coming up with great design ideas then and throughout the project. Dan and his team showed up early every day and were very respectful to my neighbours. When we realized that the whole basement had to be excavated instead of partial he sat down with me and went through the budget to ensure I wasn’t greatly impacted. When I asked for a cedar closet in my basement before I knew it was built optimizing the space that I had. I went from an old small kitchen to an open designer kitchen by removing the wall. It is now a dream kitchen and I have so much light streaming through the main floor. Dan and his team built a beautiful fireplace adding an old mantel which blended in perfectly with the wood in the house. Upstairs and downstairs bathrooms built were all based on Dan’s suggestions and I was blown away with the finished look. Whenever I need help picking hardwood or tiles he was there to assist. The workmanship is in every room in the house and the front porch and back deck is superb. The attention to detail is impeccable. Not only was I blown away with the work so were my family, neighbours and friends. I would highly recommend Dan and the DTM team to anyone without hesitation.
