Thanks very much Angela. There's no doubt that your chimney will need further maintenance some day. The original bricks are highly absorbing and are therefor susceptible to our weather cycles. For the moment though and for the foreseeable future all that was needed was the installation of a small piece of flashing to connect the counter flashing of the chimney with the eavestrough to stop the saturation of the brick below the soffit. Our philosophy has always been: If you don't need it we won't sell it to you or try to talk you into it! When the time comes we hope to be around to be of further service.

Thanks for your kind words. While yours wasn't a big project it was nonetheless a job worthwhile. We carry out projects of various sizes but with equal consideration. We therefor ensure that all debris are removed on completion, as was the case with your work. The debris you're referring to were pieces of stone and mortar that were removed and relocated by others prior to our arrival and not in plain sight. That said, we would have been more than happy to take those with us on leaving had you asked. A misunderstanding perhaps.
