My wife and I are beyond thrilled with the fabulous job that Bernd did!! His work is absolutely masterful and he is so professional in everything he does, right from the first email response onwards. Bernd is a man who keeps to his commitment around time and craftsmanship. We feel so privileged to have had him build our fireplace and it surpasses what we thought was possible. We are lucky that we chose Bernd to create this for us and will now enjoy spending lots of time living in this room with our stunning fireplace. Bernd is a master craftsman. I needed lots of different patches and fixes to our retaining walls. He came by my home twice to review the job and then did an outstanding job matching the mortar and integrating the fixes to make the wall look just as it should. He was honest with me at all times -- he could have done the job in the rain or cold -- but called me regularly recommending we wait till the climate and conditions were right to do the repairs so they would last. Very appreciative of his professionalism and quality work.

Bernd from B&B Masonry was contracted to make our 25 year old unattractive wood burning fireplace the centerpiece of our home. He made the trip out to our home before the job started to give us his expert advice which was greatly appreciated. I met Bernd (B & B Masonry) this year while he was at one of my job sites, dealing with one of my sub trades.

Our first project together was a wine cellar.
It was quite complicated with many corners, cabinets, and glass walls to contend with.
We talked about what I wanted, and what he suggested, then he went to work.
It became obvious, that he didn't need any assistance or direction from me, but he still gave me the courtesy of daily comments and suggestions.
Bernd created the perfect "vintage, stone, wine cellar".

Our next project was stone facing on the side and front of one of my houses in the British Properties.
They were very difficult stones to work with, and I actually had one mason decline the job, because of the difficulty.
It is not an exaggeration to say that he cut and chiselled more than 90% of the stones on two or three sides because they were not perfect for what he wanted.
It is the best stone work that I have ever had on one of my houses in all my years in the business.
We have had customers, tradesmen, contractors, and other masons come by to look at it.
Bernd is that good.

Besides being the best mason I've ever met, Bernd (and his assistant, Danny) both have good work ethic.
They keep their work area organized and clean.
They worked well with my owners, with me, and with the other trades on my job site. (not always an easy thing)

Bernd restored our old brick wall and coordinated the appearance perfectly with the existing brick even when using new materials.
