Stone Depot

I have used Stone Depot for two kitchen renovation projects and both times I had issues with the work they completed. The first job they completed for me was a marble counter and backsplash and an island. Stone depot inset the sink too far back which didn't leave enough room for my plumber to install the faucet without having to cut out the back of my cabinets. The issue was eventually resolved by my general contractor with no help from Stone depot. Despite some hiccups with Stone depot on my first job I decided to use them again for a rental property where I had them install a counter and backsplash. This was a very basic job but somehow stone depot decided to cut a hole behind my stove in the complete wrong location for the hood vent. I accept that mistakes can be made but to charge $700 to fix a mistake on an $1100 backsplash seemed outrageous. I agreed to pay the $700 dollars but wanted to inspect the work before I paid them. To me it would seem reasonable that Stone depot could wait 3 hours until I got home from work to be paid $700 to fix a mistake they made on a job I had already paid them for. Stone depot threatened to rip out the work they had just done unless they were paid immediately. This company insists on being paid seconds after the job is complete so that you don't notice that they do incomplete and shoddy work. I will never use this company for anything again, they do horrible work and you will end up paying far more than your initial quote for them to fix their mistakes. This is the WORST COMPANY I HAVE EVER been associated with and I would NEVER use them again.
