New Eavestroughs, Fascia, and Soffits
Capitol City Seamless were recommended by the company that recently installed our new roof shingles. Josh inspected our eavestroughs, and provided us with several replacement options with regard to the size of the eavestroughs, leaf guards (maple tree in backyard), and dimensions for downspouts, which together would keep out debris and efficiently clear away rain water. In the process of removing the old eavestroughs, he pointed out that they were attached to 2”x 4” fascia boards and these should be replaced by 2” x 6” boards to provide for a proper slope for the eavestroughs to drain away water. He also discovered that the soffits were attached to uncut plywood and this would not allow the attic space to be properly vented. This meant that warm air would be trapped in the attic space, leading to moisture build up, and potentially creating mold issues. Additional, but necessary work was needed, and we were glad that he brought it to our attention. We decided to have it all put right, new aluminum covered 2” x 6” pine fascia boards, cutting the plywood and installing new soffits for proper venting of the attic space, 5” eavestroughs with leaf guards, and 3” x 3” downspouts. Josh and his crew completed the work as promised and to our satisfaction. We appreciated his honesty and wanting to do things right, and would highly his company and services. Thanks Alan.

Thanks for the detailed review, Alan.
