Dear Anonymous,
I am sorry to hear you were disappointed with the fact that we do not inspect appliances. Since you chose to comment anonymously I am not able to comment on your specific case so this is a generic response. It is clearly stated in the CanNachi Standards of Practice, which you were given access to prior to the inspection, that Appliances are not included in the inspection. I also include this comment in the body of the report "Appliances are not tested as part of the home inspection scope. We simply look for visible defects or damage. They are not tested for operating defects as there are many different cycles and modes of operation and we can't possibly test them all. Check the sellers disclosure statement regarding the working condition of appliances that are part of the sale". I do, however, attempt to prove that services ( electrical, water and drainage ) are connected and do not have obvious flaws or defects.
