Update (April 28) to my original post below: Roy contacted me on April 26th and tells me that he will come by and have the driveway repair on the 1st or 2nd week of May. I am very glad that Roy is addressing the issue and putting some urgency in having this matter resolve. Will update on the repair work once it’s done.
==============================================================
Hired Roy from Westview Paving last year May 2016 to repave my driveway and build a concrete border along the driveway and a walkway, the job was completed in mid-June. Shortly after (about 6 wks later), there were some area in the asphalt that started to crack. Then shortly after that, there was an issue with the concrete (see attached pics). The job must have been poorly done to have problems in such a short period of time.
I brought this to Roy’s attention and he tells me not to worry about it and that he will have it fix. After waiting 2 months, no one came to do the repairs so I followed-up and each time when I was able to get a hold of Roy, he never gives me a date when it will be fix, just tells me that it would be fix soon.
It’s now end of April 2017, 10 months have gone by already and the issue is still not fix yet by anyone at Westview. I’ve followed up recently again with Roy and it looks like he is not responding to my messages.
It’s clear now that Westview Paving will not honor the 1-year warranty period as per the contract and the only option I have now is to take Westview to court to have this matter settle.
Due to this, I would NOT recommend anyone to Westview Paving as they will not honor the warranty if there are any issues after the job is done.
Update (April 28) to my original post below: Roy contacted me on April 27 regarding this matter and has agreed to have the driveway fix 1st or 2nd week of May. Will
