Cory came by and quoted the job to replace our facia on our peterborough house. We shook on it and I asked it be done by a certain weekend. I gave him my information then I didn't hear from him again.
I came home the weekend the job was originally supposed to be done he was waiting in my driveway at midnight wanting to get paid on the spot. I looked up and he in fact did replace my facia but it wasn't a very pristine job and he cut out quite a few of our bushes at the front of our house to get his ladders in - which he wanted to charge us for as extra labour.
I asked him why he didn't just call me and he said he lost my number..
I said i wanted to look at the work the next day in the light (this was at midnight remember) and I would pay him by e-transfer (to have it documented) as soon as I was in front of a computer the next day.
The next day mid day he was at my house again asking to get paid but I voiced I was unhappy with the work. The facia didn't meet at the peak of the house and it was slapped in unevenly to one side. I asked him to fix it to which he exclaimed "do I'm not getting paid for this job?". I said I would if he wrote me a little contact saying he would come back and fix the work. He became irate in front of his young daughter who was in his truck watching this. It was very uncomfortable.
I paid him by e-transfer later that day as I said i would but I never heard from him again.
He did a shotty job, ripped out my bushes, wanted to charge me for it, wrote a contract tot fix the work which he didn't follow through on then ignored me when I tried to contact him about it.
I did my part and paid him in full. I should have waited to pay him to get it done right.
