Called fridge repair from the internet. Sam chief tech came 70$ visit and ordered parts. He didn’t have receipt for parts. He Came couple weeks later to fix the fridge and fridge doesn’t work. He was suppose to come today but he didn’t show up so I called. He has heart problem and doesn’t feel well but failed to let me know. He’s suppose to come tomorrow. 400$ down the drain. We called the 1855 customer service number and it was wrong number. Tried to email and didn’t work. Beware!!! if he shows up I will edit my posts. He also refused to provide parts receipt and the fridge beeps all day and works less the before. Now it’s totally warm. Very frustrating guys like this still rob hard working people.

They came and told me $300 to repair. I had a leak. Was told they had to order parts. All they did is order a can of sealer, used it and after 2 days it didn’t work. Called them and was told they need more money as the leak was bigger. I was expecting them to fix the leak by finding it use soapy water and soldering it. Sealer is not a permant fix. Don’t use them as there fixing is less than disireable. Very expensive for appling sealer that is only worth $50.00

Warning! Do not use Active Appliance for your appliance repair. I would not recommend this organization. Sam came to inspect our dryer. It needed new rollers. Advised he would have to order the parts and it would take a week to arrive. Received a call 2 weeks later the parts arrived. We made a date to have the parts installed and Sam did not show. We made 4 other appointment dates and each time he did not show up to complete the repair. After several calls expressing our frustration the repair was completed.

Can't believe it. The est cost for replacing a power cord is $150 + Tax. You must be kidding me. So I ended up just paid service call fee.

After my 7 year old upright freezer stopped freezing I was referred to Active Appliance by one of my friends who had them repair her fridge 6 months ago. I was very pleased that they were able to come look at it the very same day. I called around 7:30 ish and they were here in less then an hour. After giving me a diagnosis of a faulty motor I gave them the go ahead and the tech got it up and running shortly after. I was pleasantly surprised with the expertise and quick service by the technician. Great service all around!!

These guys are awesome! They just repaired our Fridge. They came over on a saturday evening without any extra fee and repaired our fridge immediately. Their price was very fair and their service team was also friendly and knowledgeable. The next time any of our appliances require repair we'll call Active Appliance repair again in a heartbeat!

This fraudulent company charged me $300 to repair a Samsung electric dryer. After trying twice to repair the unit unsuccessfully and spending a month stringing me along allegedly waiting for parts, they refused to refund my money because of the time they had spent "trying" to repair the unit.

This company misrepresents itself as a multiple location entity, but in fact it is an answering service that goes to Sam the technician.

Do yourself a favour and avoid this company. Do your friends a favour and pass the word on about this fraudulent business operator.

Sam came out to assess my dryer and said I needed a new mother board and it would take 2 to 3 days to come in. A week later I called and the part had not come in. It took 2 weeks for the part to come in . He fixed the dryer but when i went to use it the next day it was venting back into my house. I called him and he said he would come that day. He never came to fix it. Also he wouldn't ever commit to a time to come. He would call a 1/2hr before he would come out.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY.
They didn't fix the problem.
They didn't show up 2 days in a row after saying that they would.
They charged us after telling us they would not.

Our fridge stopped working so we had Sam who is the Chief tech for the Guelph area come and do an assessment. He informed us that it was low on Freon and that it would cost $225.00 to replenish it. We agreed to the repair. My husband asked what kind of guarantee we have on his work and he just said "don't worry it will be good". My husband pursued this further and asked what would happen if our fridge stopped working again right away. Sam then said that normally they don't warranty it unless they repair the leak but he would give us a 30 day guarantee. Our fridge started to cool down but never even got cold enough to put food in it. I called Sam back and he asked if he could call me back in 5-10 minutes and I said sure. After over an hour my husband called. Sam told my husband he would come out that day. He never showed. We called that evening and the call went right to voicemail so we left a message. He never responded. So we called the next day and he said that he would come that day. He never showed. We called that evening and he said he didn't feel well. We asked him why he didn't show up the day before and he was evasive but finally said he was busy. I told him that I was not willing to wait around a 3rd day and that I wanted a refund so we could call another company. He argued with me about this but finally agreed that he would only charge us the site visit fee and not for the freon or labour. I was not impressed but accepted. He then went and charged the full amount over $200.00 to our credit card. We called him and it went straight to voicemail so we left a message and he has not called us back.

The company is actually a paging service. The phone number which is listed on this web site is not in service anymore. We had a trouble to reach a technician after we paid him a $175 deposit and then broke his promises two times.
