Our neighborhood is about 12 years old. The builder-special shingles are at the end of their life, and neighbours started replacing their roofs last year. There are many, many roofing contractors that are working now in our area. Some use cheapest IKO shingles, some go with better options. As we have no plans to sell our home we were looking for longevity and better looks. Top-quality shingled roof would have cost us about $10K. Eventually we decided to go with a metal roof for the looks and longevity.
Our neighbours did their roof first. They used London Eco-Metal roofing panels, which were installed by a crew from Highland Roofing company. We were most impressed by the workmanship and cleanliness of the crew that did the roof. In roofing the quality of installation is just as important as the quality of roofing material that is used. Together they determine how long the roof is going to last.
We were so much pleased with the way our neighbour’s roof came out that we decided to use the same crew and roofing material type. It took Highland Roofing crew two days to install the new roof and we’re very pleased the outcome. The new roof is gorgeous, and we had many compliments from our neighbours.
