I hired Mike and his team for my main floor renovation from Demo to Completion starting in September. He is a very professional, honest contractor with many years of experience and came highly recommended. He worked diligently and professionally from start to finish. He always let us know what his projected timeline was, what issues if there were any, was transparent with costs and kept us on time (which was tight) and on budget. I have the most gorgeous kitchen and am so happy we worked together. I highly recommend him!

Mike and his team came back to Martin Street and added and extension to the back of the house. This expanded the kitchen with a beautiful island. The extension allowed for a new powder room adjacent the covered patio area with a new office area, along with inside access to the garage. The project also included a covered patio with a gas fireplace.

Mike managed several skilled trades and they executed this project very well. The craftsmanship is excellent. As with any project there are a few things that needed to be fixed. Mike coordinated the corrections in a timely manner. Thanks Mike for another successful project at our house.

Our whole house reno was on time, completed within budget, and went smoothly. Mike took the time to talk to us about our wants and needs and they were realized, especially in the kitchen, laundry room, and master bathroom. We love our house. We definitely recommend Di Renzo group.

Growing up with a father who teaches construction, I went into our basement renovation with the expectation our project -- a complete gut job -- would end up over time and over budget. Mike and the Di Renzo Group smashed all stereotypes in the best possible way. Not only did they stay on track and on budget, time and again, they surprised to the upside. Mike has done many projects for me over the last 14 years! From a full home renovation in 2009, which included the repositioning of my staircase, wainscoting throughout the house, new kitchen, ceiling details and the best hardword floor in the WORLD! What can I say about my arch? SIMPLY SPECTACULAR. His attention to detail is what always impressed me.

Now in 2023 we decided to give our home a minor facelift. His positive attitude, creativeness and attention to detail is why we decided to work with him again. I hired Di Renzo Group to do a full renovation of my 2nd floor, which included a full bathroom renovation and new hardwood floors. We hired the Di Renzo group to help us with our first floor renovation. We are ecstatic over the results. The big game changer was his suggestion to open the wall between the kitchen and dining room. The space is much more functional now due to open concept.

The scope of our project was extensive, requiring us to move out for 6 months (March 2018 - Sept 2018). We live in east end Toronto, (Coxwell/Danforth area), our home is semi-detached and approx 80 years old. Work completed: basement lowering (handled by a different contractor), 3 story extension out the back, main and second floor remodeling. Mike was lead contractor and did a spectacular job. Among the many highlights:

- Always working: our neighbours often commented that there were people at our house every single day. Mike did not want to waste any time. He scheduled sub-contractors in a way that allowed progress to be made every day.
-On time delivery: it was critical that we moved back home by Labour Day 2018. We did. That in itself speaks volumes. It was of course a bit hairy in the last two weeks but that is to be expected. Mike and team were still coming by for another month or so after moving in which was not ideal but in the big scheme of things, totally fine.
- High quality: It really came through that Mike did not want to cut corners. It seemed as if he cared as if the house were his own. That passion was evident and shows in the final product.
- Problem solving: Any issues we ran into were dealt with efficiently and effectively. He dealt with unexpected surprises behind the walls, sensitive neighbours, among other things. We met on a near-weekly basis to deal with day-to-day questions/challenges and he always offered a solution to the issue of the day.
-Fairness: this was a big project. It was not perfectly smooth. On occasion we ran into communication issues that led to questions about cost one way or the other. We were totally upfront with Mike about these issues and he was great in responding likewise. Just last month, nearly 6 months after moving in, he came by to pay for a water meter that was accidentally disposed of. It was an amazing gesture of fairness that speaks volumes about his commitment to getting the job done right.

Overall, we would highly recommend Mike and his team.
