They picked-up our shipment August 23rd. Promised delivery August 26th and confirmation of delivery August 25th.
August 25th 3PM called the rep we dealt with - Matthew - to confirm weight, cost, delivery was told accounting would email me.
August 26th 930AM called and spoke to Henry as Matthew away that day - Was told we had to pay before delivery Negotiated to pay portion and pay balance upon delivery - Credit card payment was promptly taken. Items were still in Toronto and would be loaded as truck was leaving that evening. Promised delivery August 28th.
August 27th - 10AM called spoke to Matthew and was informed would be afternoon delivery and would call me prior to arriving
August 28th - Called Matthew at 1PM to see WHEN the movers would show up - was told between 5 and 7PM
Guess what? STILL waiting
Sent email to Matthew informing him that if shipment was not delivered prior to 10AM I would be filing theft report with local police and claiming from insurance. Tried calling at least 50 times.
August 29th Finally got them on the phone at 930AM to be told to tone it down and calm down the stuff would be delivered. I was told I could go check their warehouse in Scarborough - I am in Ottawa to see it was there - What you just told me my stuff was going to be delivered any minute. Was told could not confirm time as drivers' phones were not working - So how in this world can you tell me I will be getting delivery today if we cannot get a hold of the movers? All bull poop!
Anyways I told them I was going forward with police report and insurance and they laughed in my face and told me I was being ridiculous. I do not think that when your items are not delivered and you are unable to talk to anyone at the company and they have taken pre-payment that it is exaggerated in these times to go forward with such action. Additionally considering the reviews on here....no further comment.
It is now 1050AM and I just got a call from the truck drivers themselves telling me they would be at our house in about 40 minutes to deliver our shipment. They also told me that they needed a credit card - NO WAY JOSE - we have a nice bank draft for you and at this point delivery my stuff and you either take the bank draft or leave it - simple as that.
When I spoke to the company I asked for compensation and they told me they were sorry as we seemed upset - I am not quite sure what comes after upset but I am way past that stage....They think saying sorry will make up for all the stress and time lost trying to find out shipment and I am convinced the ONLY reason we are getting our shipment is that I threatened police report and action against them. Strangely enough our insurance company have other claims against this very same company. To be followed on delivery of items.....
