I asked Jason re-visit compliance with a building code for finishing cellar stairs. He was very responsive and returned my request within 24 hours. He spoke to the building inspectors regarding The Ontario Building Code and any revisions that would be acceptable.
He was very knowledgeable and communicated information to be on a regular basis.
I would highly recommend his services.

I completed an installation in 2002, and in 2015 the city advised me the Permit was not complete.

My project involved a second story addition to a bungalow in East York. I hired Jason's firm after a bad experience with another. I probably called about 10 architects that I found on homestars before hiring Jason, but went with his team through a referral from a neighbour. At the time, my Committee drawings were about halfway complete.

Jason completed my drawings for the Committee of Adjustments in about a week (we were successful and received the variance), and it did not take him long to complete my full permit drawings.

Jason is good to work with - a quality that is important when people like me (with limited experience doing construction) are involved in a project of this magnitude. He is timely, knowledgeable and patient. I found his ability to provide a rough cost for different options (e.g. 36" stairs vs. custom 42" stairs) to be particularly useful.

As far as cost, I would peg Jason as being roughly in the middle of all of the people that I contacted. I should say, however, when taking into account the fact that he attends on site for structural inspections - it really is good value for the money.

I have and will continue to recommend Jason and his team to friends.

We hired Jason to draft designs related to plumbing and duct work for our newly underpinned basement. Jason was able to quickly accommodate our requests and was very communicative throughout the entire process. He would quickly respond to any questions or concerns we had, and would frequently contact us to relay information.
