second story addition

Eastview Homes designed and built the second storey addition of our bungalow last summer. I was hesitant to even start the work, but was referred to them by a close friend and honestly, I couldn’t have been happier with how effortless the process went. Keith made himself available and put myself and my husbands mind at ease through the entire project. 10/10 would highly recommend Eastview and look forward to working with Keith and his team in our future projects. – Helen & Rick

House Renovation

Well it has been just over a year since we had our home fully renovated using Keith from Eastview Homes. Roughly ($350,000 +)
I could go on and on about the dissatisfaction of our dealing and quality of workmanship we received, however if the reader of this review is thinking of renovating, I would gladly share our experience along with the many factual Photo's and video's we have.
I would also share some tips and pointers I have learned in making sure you select in my opinion a good contractor and must needed items to clarify when contracting through a contractor.
Unfortunately in todays fast and moving housing market I believe that there is very little if any accountability on the contractor who are trusted to build your "Dream House". Therefore, I want to be able to help people in making sure they do not fall into the "Dreaded Build". (I will not charge anyone and I am not a business)
I am not a contractor or a tradesman but I did learn a lot, unfortunately from the negative interaction and numerous deficiencies throughout our build and the year after.
We ended up paying extra money to have other trades repair the work that was poorly done by Eastview Homes but in the end it was definitely the better decision we made.

Company Response

Mr Balice - we are "surprised" to read your comments considering we worked hard to meet your every expectation, including having our service manager (dean) return and personally attended to any deficiency regardless if it was a result to the original 40 year old home construction / workmanship.
At closing of our work both you and julia provided us an email stating your satisfaction and thanking us for having dean attend to all deficiencies.
points of interest:
.eastview was invited to quote and complete the renovation
.eastview was not responsible for designs, working drawings or building permit
.mr balice had reservation with all trades often undermining them with insults and verbal abuse
.mr balice advised us on numerous occasions of his trust issues, where at the end of the project he told us, he had been secretly recording us and our conversations
.mr balice was the acting general contractor / site supervisor
.eastview work was accepted and approved of by all building inspectors
.project value was $255,800

in closing, we apologize for failing to meet your expectations. We hope to learn from this and move on.
good luck to you - hope you find closure.

Whole house renovation

Keith and his team always strive for excellence. Keith spends a lot of time working with home owners throughout the entire process, but especially in the beginning. I really appreciated this because it was such a large project that getting as many of the details right was important. Keith hires tradespeople who are excellent at their jobs and keep the work site immaculate. Keith is especially transparent about costs and advises where and how to spend to optimize on your ideas for your home. We have used Keith on two different projects and would hire him again if we were in need of another renovation!

Full House Reno

After meeting with numerous contractors about the renovation we wanted to do on our outdated house we instantly felt comfortable with Keith's knowledge and vision of what our house could be. We wanted to open up our main floor to create an open concept feel in the kitchen/living room. Keith suggested we put a flush mount beam in the ceiling to open the space up and also to have a seamless transition between the two rooms. I couldn't be happier with the finished product and we are excited to be moving back into our new home! Thanks Eastview Homes!!

Main Floor Reno

It is with pleasure that we write this review of Eastview Homes of our main floor renovation.
From the very beginning of our experience with Eastview Homes, the communication was great! We initially communicated by email as that was the easiest for my husband and I, however we always received a prompt response to our emails. It was very reassuring to know Keith was there to answer any of our questions or address our concerns. We were very impress by Keith’s professionalism. When issues came up during demolition, as they are bound to do, Keith worked hard with us to find the best cost effective solution, and made sure we were promptly updated with any changes.
We were also impressed with the quality of work. Keith worked hard with us to create a beautiful vision within a complicated space. Keith's team members were all very pleasant, knowledgeable and patient with us. They all took the time to answer our questions and discuss the work they were completing. We always felt fully informed and never felt we were being disruptive. At the end of the day, we always came home to a clean and tidy job site. Our project even completed ahead of schedule!
Now that the job is done, we are impressed by the level of craftsmanship, and we are very pleased at how much more functional and attractive our main floor is.
We are recommending Eastview Homes to anyone who asks, and one of our friends have already spoken to Keith for a quote.

Rear Addition and Kitchen Renovation

I have worked with Keith over the past several years on numerous homes and additions, but never on my own home. As an Architect, attention to detail is paramount especially at my own house. We contracted Eastview Homes to build a rear addition and kitchen to replicate some of the existing Arts and Crafts era character of the original house. The work was executed remarkably well in a timely fashion. The work is seamless both inside and out......Thank-you Keith.

Full House Reno

We are so pleased with our decision to hire Eastview Homes for our home renovation.

After 3 months of heavy construction we are near completion. Keith and his crew have been working hard to transform our house into our dream home - the design process and hard work are finally coming together.

Eastview has been instrumental in the details and their attention to detail can be seen on every level.

I’d suggest you consider Keith and his crew for your renovation project.
