I was very pleased with the work that Ivan did in terms of shingle repair on my roof after a storm had ripped off several of them. He was prompt, prepared, transparent about the work and costs, and got the job done quickly and efficiently. I got in touch with him in the early afternoon; he asked appropriate questions and picked up repair shingles on the way; arrived at my house at the appointed time; and completed the work by 5:00 pm. I saw that some shingles had blown off my upper roof from a recent windstorm so I used Homestars to send out an alert for roof repair. Ivan (Intricate Roofing and Contracting) immediately responded and made time to come out in the late afternoon, given that the weather forecast calls for some snow overnight. Ivan had all the equipment and the right colour shingles for the job. During his inspections, he noticed a few other things that required attention and took care of it all for a reasonable price. There was a loose piece of fascia near the roof top. If there is another strong wind the piece would have been brown off. Called Intricate Roofing and they responded right away. A free quote was given over the phone. The guy showed up within a couple of hours. The work was done to my satisfaction. Good job!

We noticed a couple of shingles had blown off of the roof and the wood was exposed. After coming highly recommended, we gave Ivan a call and explained the situation. He indicated that with rain in the forecast for the next couple of days he would come out immediately to avoid any further damage. Ivan was very thorough and identified a second spot on the roof that he repaired as well. I was expecting to have to wait several days or longer so was pleasantly surprised when the inspection and repairs were completed right away. Great job, professional, reliable and reasonable pricing. We detected two missing shingles on our roof. I used Homestar to get a quote. Ivan was the first one to respond and gave me a quote within 5 minutes. He came to our house the next morning to replace the shingles using the leftover shingle stock we have. He checked our roof and made sure no other missing shingles on the roof. We also asked Ivan to add a screw to the shingle near the chimney. Great job and good humor too!

Intricate roofing did a great job helping us vent our hood range outside (on roof) and also installing the hood range. Ivan bought all the parts and completed the job quickly and professionally. I had exactly the same experience described below by one of his clients. However, in my case, I already had my heating cables, he saw things to fix on my roof took pictures and repaired them. I will not hesitate to call him again if needed.
  If you need heating cables do not buy low-end cable. Buy good cables like: https://www.flextherm.com/en/protectherm and have an electrician come in to install an independent circuit. It is more expensive with these cables but at least it will work.

I was looking to have a relatively small job : I wanted some heating cable installed in some gutters and downspouts on a 3-story townhouse. Often, other roofers wouldn't bother because the job wasn't "big enough" or the height was too inconvenient. Ivan promptly answered, came over and gave me an estimate. The price, was very reasonable.
