Move from Ingersoll to Our new build home in Ailsa Craig

My Wife and I just moved from Ingersoll to a new build in Ailsa Craig are very happy with how well the move went at both end's . We move almost every 2 yrs and have used AMJ Movers 3 times and each time has been excellent . Our movers , Foreman David and his helpers Payton , Wadi and Bryan were amazing . From the minute they showed up in Ingersoll to the final box in Ailsa CraigAll they guys were very friendly, and hard working to meet our needs in getting us to our new home .
Kathy and I would like to thank David , Payton, Wadi and Bryan and AMJ Campbell for your professionalism and hard work in our move .

Moving Company to Avoid

If you are considering a move, do not hire AMJ Campbell/Atlas Movers ... the crew that loaded the contents of our 3 bedroom home near Edmonton, AB were entirely incompetent and careless ... they arrived several hours late, wrongly contradicted many things that we were told by the salesperson (ie. that we were supposed to dismantle lamps, beds, etc), failed to have proper equipment to move our piano, stickered items to be moved that any sensible person would know were not leaving the premises (ie. concrete bench from the patio), threatened to leave a mattress behind that they had difficulty securing properly, and damaged several items.
The crew that offloaded the van at our new home on Vancouver Island were knowledgeable and hardworking ... however, they were not supplied with any paperwork regarding our shipment and had issues with the condition of the trailer supplied to them by AMJ Campbell/Atlas which caused them to be delayed enroute having to replace unsafe tires ... the driver and a single crew member offloaded the van in less time that the 5 member incompetent crew took to load the same contents ...
The headboard of our bed arrived broken into 5 pieces, a step ladder was missing, a mechanical chair that was in good working order when it left our Edmonton home arrived in non-working condition ... to name just some of the issues.
Although we purchased expensive additional insurance, the insurer has resisted compensation except for fixing the headboard.
And if this isn't enough to persuade you not to hire this company (or any other Atlas operator), they initially refused the claim to replace the step ladder relying on a fraudulent document ... a bingo sheet with a signature that wasn't mine and the name of a driver we never dealt with ... the actual delivery crew had no bingo sheet for us to sign ... What reputable company proffers a fraudulent document to avoid replacing a $150 step ladder?!

SERVICE, COMMUNICATION, RESOLUTIONS

Warning!
What happened after AMJ Campbell moved us has been a nightmare.

Many boxes went missing. I informed the Pembroke office and was eventually told to report the broken item and the missing items to Mr. Cochrane, Ottawa who was indifferent to my situation and said that his company had never experienced breakage or lost items.

Not getting anywhere with Branch Manager, AMJ Ottawa/Pembroke I wrote a letter to Vice President, Ottawa detailing my situation. NO response.

Recently sent two emails to General Manager, Mississauga. NO Reply.

In the last 2+ months I sent 3 detailed registered letters to President and CEO In Mississauga. NO reply.

I am patiently waiting for a response in the hopes of coming to a reasonable settlement.

Relocation from Toronto to France

In June 2024, I had my belongings shipped from Toronto to my hometown near Bordeaux, France. AMJ Campbell, based in Toronto, handled the first part and Schmidt Global Relocations, based in Rotterdam, the second. It was from beginning to end a very positive experience. The contact persons in Toronto and Rotterdam responded to my queries promptly and were invariably precise and helpful. The quote provided by AMJ Campbell was well within the market range. It was fully adhered to: no unexpected additional costs, no surprises. The transit time specified in the quote was 10-12 weeks, as I had chosen the GRP shared container option, and it actually took 11 weeks door to door. The movers both in Toronto and at destination were impeccably professional, patient and friendly, thereby bringing down several notches the stress intrinsic to moving. Should I find that something was amiss, I had two weeks after my belongings arrived at destination to file a complaint. It turned out that everything was in order: all my belongings were there and nothing had been damaged. For all those reasons, I recommend the AMJ and Schmidt companies very highly: in my view, they deserve a 10/10.

Love seat delivery

I ordered a Loveseat from Wayfair and it was delivered by this company. Two delivery guys brought it up to the third floor, (4 flights of stairs) as there is no elevator in my building. They placed it in my apartment and assembled it with no issues. They were very professional, courteous, efficient, and got the job done in no time at all. They cleaned up and discarded all packaging. I would happily use this company again, and I would definitely recommend it to others.

Delivery

AMJ Campbell made 2 deliveries to my address .
During the first delivery the delivery men broke my door handle bringing in the bed I ordered .
When I contacted them they sent pictures of the second delivery I had an denied my claim of $200 to repair my door.
The claims specialist Lynn has ignored my email with pictures of the damage made. You can see in the photo it has been banged.
I DO not recommend this company

Article Furniture Delivery

Absolutely awful experience trying to get furniture from Article from AMJ Campbell. I scheduled delivery a total of three times and it failed all times. Their online and phone scheduling service does not work at all and they keep using it. Totally unprofessional - it got to the point that I canceled the item that I had ordered, Article should consider cancelling their contract with them.

Wayfair Delivery

I purchased a bed from Wayfair and added in the additional "white glove" for furniture assembly. The team from AMJ came and delivered the bed. I heard a loud clink when they were doing the assembly upstairs, but thought it was just part and parcel of the whole assembly process.

Then, after assembly, the AMJ team called me upstairs to check the assembly, which looked good. So I signed off on the paper. But in the evening, when I turned on my chandelier light, I noticed a piece of glass, about 4"x4" was missing off one side of the light. Then upon closer inspection, the chandelier was rotated, so that I wouldn't be able to see the damage when I had signed off on the paper work. Additionally, the 4"x4" piece was never to be found, likely it was tossed by the workers.

I called AMJ on the damage and they said since I signed the paper work, they are not liable.

DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY. They are not accountable, and clearly their workers lack ethics and integrity.

Great packers/unpackers, terrible customer service

We moved from Winnipeg to Comox, and had AMJ store our furniture in Wpg from May-August. Company was great packing. We were quoted $9K, and it ended up being 3K MORE than our quote! Customer service once our household items were packed was horrible. We purchased a house in Comox, and notified AMJ of our date of possession 6 weeks prior to move-in. We were not given a specific date for our furniture to arrive, other than a 10-day window beginning a day AFTER we moved in!! We sent numerous emails to inquire as to whether our items had left, or when estimated arrival would be. All were answered by Pam, our contact in Wpg, who would only say that she didn't know yet, or couldn't tell us a date. After our date of possession, she advised that our furniture "should be arriving" the following week, "Friday or Saturday," and that we'd get 24-48 hr notice from driver. When Friday came, we'd heard nothing, and had to aggressively inquire as to when our items would come. There seemed to be no way of tracking the items. Toward the end of the day, Friday, we were notified that our items would arrive the next morning, and they did. The guys that delivered our items said that the'd only reveived notification about the items the previous day. We felt that this leaving us in limbo about when our items would arrive was extremely unprofessional! $12K is A LOT to pay - $3k OVER QUOTE - for that kind of shoddy customer service and poor, unprofessional communication. They also damaged a fire pit and outdoor table - used packing tape on our fire pit, which stripped the finish, and scratched an outdoor table. They also would NOT unpack and reassemble items such as mirrors or a coffee table that were PACKED by AMJ, unless we unpacked them first! We would not recommend AMJ for a long-distance move.

holes in walls everywhere

After the move i saw lots of small and big holes in the walls inside our new townhouse. the biggest hole measuring close to 3 inches, and some other ones being 1-1.5-2 inches. smaller dents are everywhere. had to get drywall repair at places and repaint the walls of almost the entire place.

Same thing with where I moved out, i paid major amount of damage to my old landlord.
