I signed up for their Furnace Maintenance package. On the day of annual service the technician noticed high CO and diagnosed that the HEX should be changed. A second technician came the next day and quoted me for the labor (the labor to change HEX was not covered by the plan but the spare part was covered by manufacturer's warranty). The part was ordered at the same time and I received it in the evening in less than 6 hours. The next day Jerry and Peter showed up and spent 4 hours on the job. They did a perfect job and my furnace came back to life. The speed and efficiency of the service was exceptional. Jerry and Peter were excellent and knew what they were doing. I would definitely recommend Direct energy and their maintenance plans to others. I saved a lot even though I paid for the labor. The only thing to mention was about the first technician who diagnosed the problem. Because he was a subcontractor he just reported the problem to the HQ and left as fast as he could. He could have done what the second technician who was a direct energy personnel did on the next day. Ordering the parts and scheduling the service. That would have saved a day, but even with that delay it was still very fast.
