Hired to do work. Insisted on payment beforehand and then never showed up. Contacted to see why he wouldn't show up and he played stupid and tried to blame it on me.

Anthony answered an ad I had posted on Kijiji looking for someone to help clean my house. I decided to hire him and he came to my home with another guy who he said is his brother. They did a good job with the cleaning. However, while he was cleaning he mentioned to me that he does computer repair and said if I need any work done on my computer that he could do it for me.
I did need work done so I let him take my laptop home. I wanted to get him to clean again so I figured he could bring it when he returns. He did come back to clean again two days later. This time he came by himself and cleaned for about 2 hours. He told me he would come back that evening to finish the cleaning as I had paid him for 3 hours. He was going to bring my computer as well. He did not return that evening and I noticed that my son's ADHD pills were missing. I contacted Tony about this and he denied taking them but said he would show me where they were when he came back over. He didn't come back and he stopped replying to my texts and emails. I called the police and when they went to talk to him they found my laptop at his home. He said he was going to give it back to me when he was done working on it. The officer returned the computer to me and when I looked at it I found that he had wiped all of my stuff off of the computer and had put his own stuff on it. Pictures, videos etc.
I had years worth of pictures and videos on the laptop and he told me he would save them as well as everything else onto usb drives before reformatting it.
He told the officer that I will be able to get all my stuff off the computer if I take it to a professional. Now I have to pay to get that done and I am praying that my pictures & videos can be retrieved.
If somebody is thinking of hiring Anthony I would think twice about it. although he did a good job cleaning, he cannot be trusted to have in your home.

This company also goes by "T&D" and locates clientele through kijiji. They provide snow removal, yard clean up and handyman services. At first when I contacted them, they seemed very good. However, after taking the full payment, Anthony and his team has NOT showed up and left a number of tasks incomplete. They have their phone numbers changed so I cannot contact them and they are using pictures of my house to promote their business without my permission. I just think it's very unprofessional and I wouldn't want anyone to go through this. Anthony kept saying he's doing us a huge favor throughout this project because he had to finish up some unfinished tasks from another contractor who betrayed us as well. We paid Anthony without bargaining and he basically left with the money. Please have a look at some of the pictures of this company's unprofessionalism.
