New house purchased, and then we realized that previous owners did not return one of their house keys after closing (they say they lost it). Needed help in a pinch, as we didn’t want to risk the case of previous owners “finding” key, so and we found RDL Services. They came quickly, did a great job of re-keying lock.
For an emergency service, cost was good. I would recommend RDL for your emergency (or non-emergency) needs!

Same story as below...did a google search...called the first number I found....outsourced to Acko Door and Lock. Two guys showed up...one said he would replace my lock as I had lost my keys...he never told me that my key was a smartkey and all I had to do was reset it myself which takes 10 seconds to do... I only found this out afterwards when talking to Home Depot staff to make extra keys... The freak who came to my home said he was replacing the lock and tried to look busy saying he had to work in his van to finish the job...yeah right!! I was completely had. Dammit are there no more reputable people in this stickin world!!? I wrote an email and called the company asking for half back...the witch on the phone was nasty and rude and refused to refund. Avoid this shady company at all costs.

We locked ourselves out of our house and called RDL (the company came up first when I googled locksmiths). The woman on the phone said it was $15 for the service charge and I told her it was a simple lock, no deadbolt and asked her how much it would be and she said $35-55. It was subcontracted out to Acko Lock & Door. When the repair man arrived (in an unmarked van) he walked up to the door and "picked" the lock for all of 20 seconds and said it was a complicated lock and needed to be drilled. He proceeded to drill the lock (without permission or explaining how much it would cost, he just said "more") and then gave us a bill for $180 ($15 for the call and $165 for the drilling). He was there all of 5 minutes, he had no credentials on him. We could have drilled it or broken it ourselves, but we figured for $50 we would let him do it, NOT $165. Company refused to answer BBB complaint and the female "supervisor" who has been harassing me on the phone refuses to take ownership for the terrible work that should have never been done and just yells at you on the phone and will not let you get a word in edge wise.

WARNING!!! Company quotes 55 and up on the phone, installer said $240 at the door and explained this is the going rate. Installation had some issues. Tried to follow-up with RDL and wasn't able to get a manager for 3 weeks. Finally spoke with a supervisor who was VERY rude and said any repairs would be charged. Service agent who came out was good, but that is the only good thing to be said. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!

It called because I was locked out of my house I was told that I would have service in one half hour or less, more than an hour and a half later someone showed up. Your ad says a service call is $15 when he arrived he said it was $30, and that you would be here in 15 min. He was very unprofessional and in the end was here less than 15 min and it cost $189 I will never use your service again, I will never recommend your service and I will report you to the BBS. Do not use these people they will rip you off.

They use cheap products that don't even last 6 months and they're overpriced (a dead bolt and knob for $200?).
Had someone come in on May 22nd, 2014 to replace a deadbolt and knob on a back entry. Pricing of the parts was $190 before tax. Now at Nov 20th, 2014 the door knob doesn't work. Their warranty is apparently only 3 months long and they won't sell me the part (Which is a Maxtech product that you can't even buy in Canada). Not sure if their operations are even legal as they don't have a proper address (just a PO box) and some 1-877 number that when googled goes to some locksmith company in Edmonton. They'll only send someone down to repair the doorknob (a job that will take less than 5mins) and charge me up the roof for a whole new assembly.

I only have seen one bad review of a company (the one and only review) that doesn't even have the same name but has the same PO box address... The name on the receipt i got was "RDL Services, Reliable Door and Lock Services" and the name on the Yellow Pages "Emergency Locksmith". I've filed a complaint with the BBB. Seems like sketchy business so avoid using them if you can.
