The crew was very organized and left the site tidy every day. They explained what needed to be done. They were kind and the work was excellent. They seem pretty busy so be patient with communication. Overall great experience!

I did my research online and emailed three companies. Buildstrong stood out from the start. Rene (the owner) replied to my enquiry quickly. We set up an appointment within the week. He showed up on time. (Small details but they matter).

Now here's the thing: if you are a woman home-owner, you know those contractors who treat you like you don't have any common sense and can't make decisions? Well Rene is just the opposite. We talked through the work and the options. The conversation was respectful and thoughtful. There was not one iota of mansplaining. So refreshing.

The work itself was in two parts. Both times, the people were terrific - really skilled at their work. Jason led the parging team and he was funny, professional, and thorough.

From start (enquiry from me) to end (final invoice), a total of just over two weeks.

Had a chimney emergency and also needed brickwork restoration along the side of the house by the driveway, Buildstrong sent folks to repair the chimney immediately, then did a fabulous job on the driveway a few days later. Rene and his team came to fix and then finish a previous contractor's work. Not only was the quality of their work significantly better, but they took the time to repair and clean up the mess that was left by the other company. I was impressed by their professionalism and communication. I will use them again in the near future for other projects I am contemplating.

This is the fourth time Ive engaged Build Strong for work. In addition to rebuilding external brick work and replacing a glass block, this time was restoring the rubble foundation in one of the walls our 1920s house.
Renés quote was fair and the work was completed within the time hed indicated. The service was professional, competent and Jason answered all our questions about the work. He had suggestions about finishing the work that demonstrated not just his technical expertise but his understanding of the aesthetic look we wanted from the exposed stone. A delight to work with. Id have no hesitation about working with Build Strong again and am happy to recommend them.

We recently worked with Buildstrong Masonry to replace many crumbling bricks and the cracked limestone window sills on our 100 year old home. We found the quote to be incredibly fair, and the workmanship to be excellent. René was very patient in answering my many questions and JL led the work nicely on site. It was a pleasure dealing with this company. They were responsive and reliable and inspired confidence in their work. They removed a lot of the old material and replaced it with new, correct mortar when reinstalling loose stones on the front steps and porch. Jean Luc and Mohammed were very polite and pleasant while doing the work.
They also inspected my chimney and replaced mortar where necessary.
I intend using them in the future should I need to have masonry work done.
