UPDATE: The Coordinator contacted me to say that she had sourced the part I need and that they will install it at cost with service covered by what I paid. I am happy and looking forward to a working dishwasher!
I called because I had not been able to find a part needed for my dishwasher. We had a lengthy friendly conversation. The coordinator assured me that f I sent photos pf the part needed, they would put it in my file and the technician would be aware./ He came out for the $100 service call and gaslit me the whole time about how I did not know how dishwashers worked and that I did not understand how the broken part worked. Nonetheless, at the end of the inspection he declared that I needed the part I had identified to the coordinator, in the photos and during the inspection. I explained that I had not been able to find the part. He gaslit me again at length about how I was not a professional like him, and of course, he would find the part. A day or so later I received a one-sentence email that the part could not be found. Of course, I was charged for the service. I feel mistreated because I started off the entire process trying to ascertain that they could find the part BEFORE I booked the home visit and wasted $100 and our time. FixAppliances.ca were more interested in collecting money than solving a problem for a customer.
