Bought a modular house through Guildcrest. The time frames are not quite as advertised, though is still faster than an on-site construction build. They were disorganized at the time I was dealing with them. No architects available to complete drawings, therefore making it time consuming to get them and forget about making any changes or requests. Resulting in a kitchen design that is lacking, a master bedroom and bathroom without windows. They were a month late in delivery because they didn't have their MTO permits in place. Placing us in a precarious place with no where to live. They did arrange for a cottage for us to stay in for a month but the builders were no where close to finishing and we were forced to live in a very undesirable construction zone. The builders had not even tried to clean the drywall dust and mud caked on everything before we got there. They do not check on the construction crew of their authorized dealers to ensure everyone is properly licensed, experienced or insured. The house is Ok, but it is settling and things like the cupboard doors are sagging, the roof has dozens of blowing shingles every time the wind blows. No follow through or follow up on the sale of their units. My experience - they talk a big game of friendly service and all the information you need from start to finish but once they have their money you no longer exist.
- Approximate cost of services:
- $171,000.00
