Torcan Group

Andrew Deonarain of the Torcan Group was referred to me by a relative who was making major renovations to an older home and needed the eaves troughs and down spouts replaced. A contractor himself, he was delighted with Andrew’s work and later recommended Torcan to several of his neighbours. Five of them subsequently hired Andrew to do similar work. Andrew came to my house within 24 hours of my initial contact and quickly assessed the problem. Because most of the original eaves troughs and down spouts were still functional, he suggested only replacing the one that had been installed improperly by the builder and by adding leaf guards where we have overhanging trees. He quoted a fair price and promised to complete the work within a month. Two days ago he called to schedule a convenient time for his crew to do the work. They arrived yesterday and completed the job in an afternoon. The eaves trough that he replaced had a span of about 40 feet. So to improve drainage he added a second down spout, giving us one at each end. AND he did not charge extra! In addition, he noticed that the builder did not properly install the soffit at one of the corners of the house, providing potential access for animals to enter the attic. He also repaired this at no extra charge. I highly recommend Andrew and the Torcan Group.

I had my roof re-shingled by Torcan Group about one week ago. When Andrew came to give me an estimate I was pleasantly surprised at how congenial, professional and thorough he was. He went on the roof and even took pictures of some oddities. Once he did this he came inside and went over the whole process in detail including what extra work would have to be done to ensure that the oddities were handled properly. He gave me an estimate on the spot. Not like some others that I got estimates from that came, looked, went away and then sent me an estimate. They did not explain any thing nor hardly talked to me.

Andrew is not just a sales person. On the day of the install he was on the roof with his crew working and supervising making sure that every thing was done according to what we had agreed upon. It took him a bit longer to do one of the oddities but he didn’t skimp on time or material in order to make sure that it was leak proof. He even took pictures and showed me what was done. I was very appreciative of this as some years ago we had a leak in this particular area with the water coming through the ceiling into the house.

Andrew price is reasonable. He may not be the cheapest but the cost warrants the work done. I did not get estimates from any fly by night contractors so his price was inline or cheaper that other estimates I received.

From talking to Andrew I got the idea that he enjoys what he does and feels that he is helping people by providing them with the best service that he can. He is proud of his work and so he should be. I would highly recommend Torcan Group and will definitely use them again when needed. I couldn’t be happier and am very thankful that I came across Andrew and Torcan group.
