Please and please and please don't build with pacesetter homes. My home (Windereme Edmonton) which is over $500,000 I swear is falling apart under 3 years.
After the first year my upgraded expensive stair railing, the cap came off I glued it back ... then the second when off... and now the third is about to come off.... Came home last week to notice my kitchen cupboard door under the sink had fallen off... then the window in the kitchen has fallen off... all this just after 2 years … not sure what to expect at 5 years.
The most painful part of all is my living room flooring... (UP GRADED WOODEN FLOOR) each time I walk on that I get really mad at the builder ... the sound will make u wanna go crazy ... my wooden floor sounds like it is cracking AND ABOUT TO COME OFF... very very bad job or cheap product not sure which one is it ... it has become a shameful affair when my friends and family tell me J.J your home is not even 3 years old and your floor sounds this bad.... Trust me I care for my home cos it’s my baby ... I was just unlucky to get a crazy baby...
Now am planning to take out all the flooring and get it replaced. I hate my floor that such I will be paying $5,000 to remove and replace it.
The sad part of all this I built two houses worth $1m with this builder … trust I will be posting everywhere and telling everyone to stay away from this builder until I get over the $5k am about to spend to remove and replace my wooden floor.

Hi Olajide,
I am so sorry to hear of the problems you are having with your home. Although your Pacesetter warranty period is up after one year, I would strongly recommend getting in touch with Alberta New Home Warranty to see if anything can be done about some of the items you have mentioned above. Here is a link to the Mandatory Warranty section of ANHWP: http://www.anhwp.com/mandatorywarranty/ Please let us know if we can assist you with this in any way by contacting pacesettersales@qualico.com. I hope that helps.
