I bought a spec home from Pacesetter. The sales experience was good and the walk through and move in experience was good. However, I am still waiting for all the one-year work to be completed (9 months later) and a couple of months after the one-year warranty passed, I had a problem with the plumbing. The plumbing company that did the original plumbing came to check it out. They could not find the source of the problem so therefore did not fix it but left my ceiling with holes in it. I would not buy from Pacesetter again because ofthat. It's been disappointing.
Update: May 11, 2015. It is now past two years since I got possession of my new home and all the one year work has still not been completed. I did email the company forwarding this review and the job number, as per the Company's response requested, but I have heard nothing. Don't build with Pacesetter. Once you take possession, it's like pulling teeth to get anything done. I know the saying that the squeaky wheel gets the oil, but why should anyone have to?
Update #2 August 21, 2015: Still no work done to finish off the house and still no response from Pacesetter. Now going into fall/winter, they'll say it's seasonal work. Why could they not finish off the painting on the outside of the house while the weather's been good and they've had painters in the area? Who knows.
