Buyer Beware!!!!!
I contracted this company through an ad that the main company contact (Ben) posted on Kijiji. I was looking for a basic concrete pad to be poured in my back yard, and after contacting the estimator that the company listed in the ad, I checked out some referenced for previous jobs they had done. The main reason I hired them was because of timing...they weren't the cheapest or most expensive, but they could get the job done quickly. They came and started prep work, and then asked for a deposit for half the job, so they could schedule the concrete pour. I know this isn't an uncommon practice, and they said it was because of the quick turn around to get in the queue for concrete.
They certainly seem like a legit company...fancy website talking about how awesome they are. No reason to think my money wasn't safe, right? Wrong!! After they didn't show up to finish the job, and I couldn't get through on the number they posted on their ad, I talked to Ben after calling the main ad number. Even though he posted the ad, he told me that his concrete guy didn't work for him, and too bad because I was out of luck. He then hung up after telling me, he didn't have the time to deal with me.
I have now been in contact with one of the other job references, and they are in the same boat (but for a bigger deposit). Maybe their game is to take the money and split it?
If you do any business with these guys, you have been warned! My advise would be to stay clear of this company for any of their services.
