Great Experience

They were very careful and efficient about moving and packing my tv/tv stand, dining table, large sectional couch, bookshelves, as well as disassembling/reassembling my complicated bed without any damage. Recommended.

Worst move ever

Booked for a Saturday but they called to change for Friday at 6:00 pm & if not accepted they did not know when they could come. Showed up at 8:00 pm with a half full 28 ft. Truck, needless to say they could not take all of our furniture. They finished at 12:30 am and said another truck is on the way. We stayed up all night and they never showed. Called the next day and Tiffany said they were not sure when they would come but I needed to pay for what was picked up. The quote was for $ 1,400.00
She demanded $ 3,600.00 and an additional $ 1,500.00 for what had to be picked up or our furniture would not be delivered on the agreed date.
I complained but with to no avail so I paid. The returned date to pick up the balance was a week later and I had to pay $ 200.00 to move the rest of my furniture to my neighbors garage. Tiffany said to submit a claims form and they would reimburse me. The workers were not well trained.
They damaged several pieces of furniture and dragged our King size mattress to the point it is unusable. They could barely speak English and one of them was on the phone with his wife in Turkey for the full duration of the pickup. The second crew was equal to their counterparts.
I have tried to get in contact with them and they they have been hiding behind COVID for the excuse of not getting back with an automatic reply.
Their policy is claims need to be submitted within 10 days. It has been 3 weeks with still no response. I had also requested a receipt for what we paid not given.
Potential clients be aware if Amanda gives you a quote you can bet it will be a lot more. I could go on but I am getting angry.

Company Response

Good afternoon Steve!
I am sorry that you had such a bad experience, but it was not our company. We never had and don’t have a girl working for us named Amanda or Tiffany. As well as we have no employees with a turkish background. As an owner of the company I checked all the recent invoices and we didn’t provide any services for the amount of money you provided.
I would really appreciate if you can post this review where it belongs.
Thank you,
Iurii

Major Rip Off !!

This company is a complete RIP OFF!!! They charged me 3 times my quote and advised the weight of my move was over 5000lbs. I paid extra to have the load scaled and they will not provide me with a copy of the scale ticket. My move was very small and for sure did not exceed 2200lbs tops. I was relocating to another province and had no choice but to pay or I would not receive my things. I have since filed a claim, placed numerous calls, lodged a complaint with BBB and have been left ignored. Disgusting customer service when there is an issue and by not providing the scale ticket are basically admitting to be dishonest. They wiped a single mother's savings out and took advantage. This is not fair and I will not stop until I get answers!!

Never use these people

Run. Run far away from this terrible company. They have ruined my life and they have no problem with it. ‘A contract is a contract’ should be their slogan. Never mind that contract is being signed under duress after intimidation tactics and nobody will help you after that contract is signed.

I hired them based on a quote for 9500 lbs. My move was booked for the 12th. On the 8th, I advised by email that the closing date on my new home was the 31st and Tania replied to say that the delivery was booked for that date. Perfect! This becomes relevant later on.

On the 11th I had a call from the scheduling department to let me know my movers would be there between 4 and 5 pm, I reminded them that we had a storage unit and it would be very dark there. We had been told our move would be in the morning so I was surprised to hear the timeline.

On the 12th the driver called to tell me they were going to be there by 6. They didn’t get to storage until just before 7 pm. We were back to my home by 8 pm and they started loading the truck by 8:30 pm. By 11:30 pm, one of the men told me I had significantly more than 9500 lbs. I told him that wasn’t the case, and he pointed out that the truck was almost full. I was so confused, as I had even sold large items (a couch and loveseat) that had been on the initial inventory. They kept loading.

By 1:30 am we started outside. As it was only two men who said they had been working since 1 am the previous day, I tagged all my belongings inside to keep them moving. I couldn’t get the tags to stick to anything outside as it was all wet at this point. At 2:30 am, the contract came out. I had just tipped the drivers because I felt terrible they were working so late.

The driver told me that my lid was over 24k lbs. I said absolutely not, there was no way. We were only moving one appliance, one queen bed and light furniture and boxes. There was no way I had that much. He said to me, ‘if we weigh this, you’ll be sorry’. I told him I wanted it weighed because the spreadsheet from the office included everything on the truck and I didn’t believe him. He told me the office didn’t know what they were doing and that I’d regret having it weighed. He became more aggressive and pushy and then told me he’d mark down 21k lbs but that if he showed up with the truck full and any less than that, he’d be in trouble. At this point I was crying and shaking, terrified as I couldn’t afford 21k lbs but I certainly couldn’t afford the 24k or more if they weighed it. He then started to tell me I’d be charged other things if I wanted it weighed, like a stair surcharge etc.... I was in a total panic and signed the 21k under duress. He assured me I could speak to the office the next day.

By 3:41 am I had emailed the office. I knew the drivers were going back to Toronto and I texted them directly too, to tell them I wanted my load weighed, that I didn’t feel comfortable with how things had gone. No answer. I finally had to call the office on Monday, they said a manager would reach out. You can guess how that turned out.

By Friday, no manager. I was finally able to get one (Michelle) on the phone. She was hostile from the start, telling me I should have called the police if I was in danger and that I should have had them unload my belongings on my yard that night... at 2:30 am. It was insane. Finally she agreed it should not have happened. She would investigate.

Tuesday I called to ask for an update, I received an email back saying it was he said/she said and that’s contract is a contract. She said the warehouse manager was making sure this never happens again. If nothing was wrong, why do this?! She offered me a 5% weight reduction. I asked for 10%, nobody ever replied.

I sent daily payments, while literally begging them to reduce my bill and not accept my etransfers. They took them every time and ignored me. Finally I asked them to confirm that my belongings would arrive on the 31st and I was told if I paid my balance by the 25th, it would be there the 31st. Now, nobody was providing me with any breakdowns or proof of payments applied to date so I calculated my new total after the 5% weight reduction and paid the balance based on that. On the 27th I asked for confirmation my belongings would be there on the 31st and was given 40 minutes to pay them more money or else they’d reroute my stuff and charge me yet another fee. I asked how much and they said I owed over $4600. That was insane, I sent them proof of my payments. They then said there was no record of the 5% reduction and I’d have to pay it all. By 7 pm I was having a meltdown, couldn’t breathe, thought I was having a heart attack. I begged them to confirm my payments had been received and that my stuff would be there on the 31st again. I ended up having to send them $1612 after they claimed an accounting error.

My stuff was now set to arrive on the 31st.

On the 29th I received a call from the driver telling me he’d be delivering the next day. I told him sorry, that wouldn’t work as I don’t have a home until the 31st. He said he’d leave it in the garage. I said no and told him I was calling the company. That was one of the worst things I’ve ever experienced, they told me I had two options - pay for storage at my own expense plus pay them 21 cents a lb (at 21k lbs) to unload into the storage unit or pay a rerouting fee and have my stuff sent eventually- for another fee. I begged them, sobbing on the side of the highway, to please not do this to me. My move that should have been no more than $5000 was now up to over $13000 and they wanted more from me. I asked if they could hire a second crew and that’s when they admitted they had been trying to since 8 am. Suddenly, they offered to find a crew to offload the truck to another truck and deliver on the 31st - for a fee of $1500 but I had 5 minutes to decide or they were sending my truck back to Toronto. My child was with me, terrified her stuff was gone forever. I paid the $1500.

On the 30th, the driver called to say he was delivering that night. I told him no, I didn’t own the house yet and I had just paid $1500 to delay the delivery to the original date of the 31st. He was angry with me.

That night I sent him screenshots of my conversations where the 31st was confirmed in writing.

They never hired a new crew. They just extorted more money out of me.

On the 31st he tells me that he wasn’t able to back the truck into the driveway so I’d need to pay an additional fee. I broke down in the back of his truck, this is when I noticed that my belongings didn’t even take up a quarter of the 53 foot trailer. How could it have filled the 26 foot truck? I asked him how they determine the fee, he told me it was by weight on the contract. I started to cry, he felt terrible and told me he wasn’t going to charge me that weight because he knew I absolutely didn’t have 21k lbs and he was going to charge me $400 for the 10k and under fee. I had to pay him so they’d unload.

By the time my move was done, I had paid these people just over $15,000. I am sick. I have felt suicidal over this. I have been financially devastated. The company will not communicate with me.

They have ruined me.

Cross Province Move

I STRONGLY recommend reading reviews from the worst to the best. The best reviews are very misleading and false advertising. When booking Tara seems to be very professional and she is able to answer all questions, removing concerns and anxiety. However, things she states such as address of where your items will be stored with their storage promotion, having access to your things etc. is all false advertising. Upon arriving, I was unable to get any address, access to my things and I found out that the address on my invoice is not their address. I had to do extensive research to identify the owner, his address, the company address etc. If you do end up booking with this company, ensure you have your copy of your paper invoice and a lawyer on hand. Also, ensure that what you agree on your invoice is what you're paying for. When it is time to get your things they will try to overcharge and the only success I had with them listening to me and honouring the invoice, that was signed, was through a lawyer contacting them. Also, beware, they may try to charge additional fees upon delivery. Communication is poor, unprofessional, rude at times and very inconsistent. They are hard to reach via phone. They are more responsive via email but again it is delayed. It took 5 weeks from my things arriving in Toronto to me having them in my possession in another storage unit that I had to rent because I could not trust the company with my things. I had originally opted in for the free 8 weeks storage (which I almost ended up using all of) but I tried to get my things upon arrival until 5 weeks later. I assume they were very lackadaisical with it because I had the storage. However, I was eager and adamant about getting my things out of their possession. The only thing that was positive was the movers were efficient when they finally picked my things up and when they delivered my items. Everything arrived. My furniture had been blanket wrapped so they were well taken care of and arrived with no damage. Some boxes were smashed a little but that's a part of the moving process. I am glad to be done with the anxiety inducing and stress provoking process that I went through. And if you're looking to be compensated for poor service, forget it. They gave me $50 off a $1500+ move. It's a joke. Either way... PROCEED WITH CAUTION and KNOW what you are signing up for BEFORE booking and LAWYER up if you have already booked services with them.

Worst experience of my life

When I say this was the worst experience of my life, I'm not just referring to moving experiences, I'm referring to all experiences. Even my divorce wasn't this bad.
Got roped in just like some other people who have submitted reviews on this company. Once they have your stuff on their truck, you're screwed. They will line their pockets with as much of your cash as they can.
Our shipment was estimated at between 6000 and 8000 lbs. Once they loaded the truck they said that 8000 lbs is for 1/2 a truckload, and our stuff filled the truck to capacity, so 16,500 lbs. We said absolutely no way, we want to go to the weigh station, but they said they could not or would not do that and they insisted that we sign the flat rate agreement. Finally, after a long exhausting day we signed under duress just to get rid of them.
When I called Tara, the customer service rep, to ask if they would weigh the shipment once it comes out of storage, she hung up on me after saying she wouldn't (which I thought was a strange thing to say). When I immediately called back someone else answered the phone after many many rings and stated a contract is a contract and pay up or else.
When the truck arrived at our new home it was only half full, so it was all a ruse, and we paid at least double for this move. We are retired pensioners on a limited fixed income. What kind of company robs retired folk? I'll tell you...Move Me Again, that's who.
Here's a photo of that 'full' truck upon arrival at our new home. This is a 26 ft truck, not a 53 ft tractor-trailer. Look 'full' to you?
DO NOT HIRE THIS MOVING COMPANY! They should be out of business.

Intimidation and Deceit; inflated flat rate; legal action required

I spent months corresponding with Tara prior to my move, asking every question I could think of - I got a quote for my estimated 6,000 lbs of stuff, and she told me that I'd pay 42 cents a pound for anything over 6k. It was clearly stated in their emails that I could follow the truck to a weighing station and see it weighed (the fine print on the contract - which you won't see until your stuff is loaded - says the weigh station has to be within 16 km, and it was).

- My move was schedule for Saturday, July 11 but on the 9th, I received a phone call saying we had to be ready by the next day (July 10). I stayed up most of the night in order to be ready for the movers.
- The movers were supposed to arrive at 4 pm. They arrived at 9:30 p.m. and actually started moving things out of the house at 10 p.m. They finished at 2 p.m., after which followed a 20-minute argument between myself and the head mover.
In my discussion with the mover:
- I said several times (at least 6 times) that I did not want to sign a contract that had a ‘fixed weight’ of 14,000 lbs, more than double what I expected.
- I asked several times to follow him to a scale, as detailed by the company in our email exchanges. He refused to go to a scale.
- I explained that I didn’t have my good glasses and couldn’t read the contract; he said it didn’t matter because I could work everything out with Tara the next day.
- When I insisted on wanting to follow him to a weighing station, he first said that I would be charged $240 for that (which is not mentioned anywhere in my email exchanges with the company; on the contrary, it simply says I can follow the truck). When I agreed to that, he again (angrily) refused to go and said that I could get my things weighed later, that I just had to call Tara the next day in order to arrange it.
- The head mover said that “Head office always does this; they tell clients the wrong thing and then make me be the bad guy.” This leads me to believe that this dishonesty is standard practice for the company.
- His answer to every question was to refer me to Tara, who (the following day) said she had no responsibility once the items were picked up. She referred me to the ‘management team’.
- I sent 3 emails and left 2 voicemails for the management team in the week after our house was emptied. I finally heard back after 7 days; the woman on the phone said I would be held responsible for the flat weight of 14,000 lbs, as I had signed the contract, even though I did it based on false information.
- I explained that I had signed that contract under duress and that the mover had assured me that my things could still be weighed so that I’d pay for the actual weight, not the wildly inflated flat rate.
- I’m a small single mom and was alone in my house with 3 angry men who were all insisting that I sign the contract so that they could get out of there. I felt intimidated and unsafe. They had been moving stuff in 40-degree heat; they were clearly exhausted and fed up. I hadn’t slept in almost 24 hours, after a week of little sleep, so I couldn’t think clearly. My children were crying and wanted to leave. We were in a mosquito-infested area and, because all the doors had been open and it was the middle of the night, we were being devoured by mosquitos. The head mover was swearing and jumping around, slapping at himself. He said he couldn’t leave until I signed and that in any case, I could iron out any details with Tara the following day, so finally, I signed (under protest). Because I couldn’t read the contract, he had to point out each place for me to sign and initial.
- For the next week, the company didn't answer calls or emails, until suddenly they called (from a private number, and they never give their last names). They insist that I have to pay for 14,000 lbs (their estimate, it's never been weighed) and they're threatening to dump our stuff if I don't. All my children's artwork, family photos, and irreplaceable items from my recently-deceased father are in that truck.

I have a lawyer and I'm proceeding with legal action (I'm not the only one) but it's been two weeks and we still don't have our things.

Forced Into flat rate. Delivery a week early to storage locker

Drivers caused car accident during collection. Drivers in a rush and had me initial a paper. Driver asked if I wanted the weigh scale or a flat rate. I said weigh scale. He agreed and told me Dixie rd was the location and was on his way home.

Company never called to provide weight. When I called they said I had agreed to flat rate for 11,000 lb. My estimated weight based on inventory sheet was 6700 lb. I said why would I ever agree to that? They said tough, it's already on way to NS and you have to pay to get stuff back.

Driver calls a week earlier than delivery date to say he needs to drop off stuff next day. I say we are not in possession for another week. He says if not able to deliver in the morning he has to take stuff to Montreal and store in warehouse. We see online others have been charged 400 a day for this.

We get driver to agree to take to storage locker. Get local company to agree to leave 2 unlocked as its weekend and they're closed. Delivery guys show up at 9 p.m. instead of 9 a.m. leave stuff in lockers unattended until monday when owners can go and lock up. We are still in Ontario so nothing we can do.

Have to pay 500 for lockers and 500 for another local mover to finish the move. Asked for partial refund and told to make claim. Make claim and told 4 weeks for decision. 4 weeks now passed and cant get a reply from them. Claim form states they will take 500 deductible from any refund they might give. Offered multiple times for them to refund to avoid us writing these reviews and contacting police regarding accident, but they dont respond. Complaint made with bbb today.
