Nilton is the most knowledgeable boiler technician in Toronto

Nilton is an excellent boiler technician. He installed a brand new boiler for me, and it works perfectly.

I have had other boilers installed in the past incorrectly. Having done my own research and gone through my own experiences, I now know whether a boiler mechnanic has the expertise to do the job properly.

I can say 100% that Nilton has the expertise. He is the most knowledgeable boiler technician I have met, and I have met more than 10 boiler technicians.

He does the job when he says he will do the job

I will not hesitate to recommend Nilton to anyone else.

He is outstanding

Thank you so much Nilton

HVAC Service

Nilton from Expert Mechanical does not honour his contract agreements. He says one thing and does the other with extra expenses. His work is at best shoddy. Stay away from Nilton, hes not to be trusted. My worst regret is hiring him in good faith thinking that he would be fair since I am friends with his brothers. I Read all the negative reviews and gave him the benefit of the doubt, boy was I wrong. Lesson learned.

Retired inspector for enbridge

Just read the review above. And clearly its false. As a retired inspector for the gas company the procedure is as follows.

If a red tag was issued. And the gas company comes to the home the inspector will not shut off the gas unless he agrees there is still a violation in place. Whether or not a homeowner agrees with the decision the gas company are providing the fuel and has the right to turn of service for non compliance of the B149. Code.

Now, if a red tag was issued and the problem(s) have been correct the service will be left on. Clearly who ever was at your home agreed with the heating contractor. Otherwise they would have left the gas on. Gas company is there to make sure it's safe. Remember you are dealing with a fossil fuel on your home. Safety is the most important part.

Unfortunately the gas code overrules your wants or what you seem to think is correct. You dont have to agree with the contractor. You have to respect the laws in Canada. Safety will always come first.

I dont know this company. I repair my own gas fired appliances. I dont like to see false statements posted.

ducts sealing vs. unnecessary furnace repair/ replacement

I hope this company is the one that was originally registered at 13, Dianne Rd., Erin, ON and run by Nilton Sousa with TSSA license number 244372 or 437687. For the reasons that follow STAY AWAY FROM NILTON SOUSA AND EXPERT MECHANICAL INC.
My wife called Nilton Sousa (owner of Expert Mechanical Inc.), who served her commercial heating/ cooling system at the time, asking his opinion about air ducts sealing in our house. Nilton said that its impossible to do ducts sealing and offered to come in and take a look at our situation at the time of his convenience instead. His conclusion was that repair or replacement of our existing furnace is necessary to improve air circulation in our house. Next day he sent us the relevant estimates. My wife and I did not agree with Nilton's determination and believed that nothing is wrong with our furnace to justify its repair or replacement. Moreover we knew that there is a significant heat leakage on a main floor in the area of our living room where the floor and walls were too hot to touch. That is why, as we believed, it was not enough air pressure upstairs. In about five days on or around February 15th, 2017 we received Mr. Sousa’s invoice for some “diagnostic fee of $119.00”. We were very surprised to be billed with the charge that was never discussed with us and which we never agreed to prior to allowing Nilton to come to our place as required under Ontario Consumer Protection Act and regulations. We said and wrote it to Nilton and he responded that his service is essentially chargeable and that he will take us to court if we don’t pay. We advised him not to waste any time and start court action asap. Instead he contacted several colleagues of my wife with purpose to spoil her business reputation. Also he registered a B tag with Enbridge without telling us anything. Enbridge came and shut off our gas supply completely ignoring our argument that we never received any tag issued by Expert Mechanical or anyone else saying that “you are not telling the truth”. We had two infants and a toddler in the house at the time and gas stove was the only cooking appliance in our house never mind no heat situation we had to deal with when the outside temperature was at about 6-8 degrees Celsius. We were fuming and extremely upset by Nilton Sousa’s conduct and informed him that we will seek consumer protection. He hired a student at law to write us threatening letters demanding payment. We wrote back to the counsel advising him and his client to proceed to litigation. We never heard from them for good 3-4 month and then Nilton sent his new invoice in mid July daring to charge 3.5% interest per month. Having received another letter from Nilton’s counsel in late October we had not other choice but to file a formal claim with Ministry of Government and Consumer Protection and will take other steps to address ethical issues of Expert Mechanical Inc.’s operation with all appropriate authorities including BBB and TSSA.
