Avoid apple tree/metro snow and ice removal at all costs

Signed up in November thinking they would be a good company after having trouble with JR snow removal. I would not recommend this company, voicemail is always full, and it seems they do not care for they’re customers. This is my first and last year for sure. I can shovel my own driveway with out shelling $300 to do so. Never seen such ridiculousness before and they go on to brag about 11,000 happy customers. If your customers were so happy recently then why do you have so many bad reviews as of late?? As a business owner I understand it’s difficilt but to run a business like this and always be blaming your customers is 100 percent wrong . Now I know I understand why they don’t have a google listing because it would be full of bad reviews. I will be contacting bbb and filing a claim in small claims court and I advise others to do the same

Approximate cost of services:
$250.00

Company Response

Admittedly, you state you had trouble 'as well' with JR snow removal.
Just maybe it's your unrealistic expectations from any residential snow clearing companies and your standard can't be met?
As per 'why we have so many bad reviews at the beginning of the season?
Simple answer:
We sign up over 1500 'late' clients when. No other company will even respond to them.
Almost ALL of these reviews recently are from...."late last minute signups' during storms.
They call last minute and want to be done 'tonight'. No stakes get put in and they get missed. THIS is explained to them clearly when they sign up.
As well....all are usually 'first time' snow company users and have no idea what to expect.
Complaints from long term clients re virtually non existent as these clients 'get' what a commercial snow clearing contract and service levels are about.
ON A GOOD NOTE THOUGH: As a result of these reveries from 'late signups' Metro will no longer accept any clients free the first snowstorm of the season.
Lesson learned .
