I found the Basement Builders team to be very professional and easy to work with. They had many great ideas through our initial planning discussions and easily translated these ideas into a quality product. The renovation process was smooth and efficient and we are very pleased with the end result. I would recommend Basement Builders for any renovation project.

The work was well done and on time. The best part of the experience were the in person meetings with the Basement Builders Team. Their enthusiasm and input in the planning with ideas was great.
Communication and scheduling of the contractors went smooth. In short, we are very satisfied with the service and very happy with the end product. They are also very good and solving issues and problems that pop up really fast and efficiently. I could contact them anytime by text message and always received a response within 5 minutes, amazing!

Basement Builders have been amazing throughout the whole process. Building an entire basement can be quite tedious, but these guys helped us throughout the entire process from designing the layout to customizing every detail. Although there were hiccups along the way, which will inevitably happen in every basement build, Basement builders were quick to respond and resolve the issues. As an added bonus, they upgraded our toilet free of charge! We couldn't have asked for a better builder. Thanks for the great work! We have been quite enjoying the basement since!

Matt and Ben definitely know their stuff! We had our basement developed by Basement Builders as well as a couple of windows added to the upstairs of our home and we are absolutely thrilled with the results. The whole process went very smoothly from our first phone conversation to completion. Matt is one of the most responsive people I have ever had the pleasure of working with. He was always available to address any concerns that I had no matter how small… very rare to come by in this industry. Very refreshing to see this kind of commitment and customer service! Definitely made the process as stress-free as possible.

The workmanship exhibited by all the trades is excellent. Matt and Ben have assembled an amazing and dedicated team! All work was completed to a very high quality and the tradesmen were always considerate. Jordan the framer is very knowledgeable and created solutions that helped us maximize space. Sam and his electrician partner were very flexible in helping us plan out the plugs, switches, and lighting. Mike the plumber did a wonderful job with the bar and the bathroom. The drywall crew was very quick and kept the mess to a minimum. Mani the painter showed a high level of detail and pride in his work while always being extremely courteous. No detail was too small or meticulous for him to take care of. Don’s crew was very helpful when we were picking out the wet bar cabinetry and it turned out exactly the way we envisioned. Paddy’s flooring and tiling team did an excellent job with the carpet, tiles, and the full-wall backsplash for the bar. Carlo’s team was extremely accommodating and took the time to help us pick the perfect slab of quartz for the bar countertop! Ben organized the project very well and along with Matt, were able to keep us informed throughout the entire project timeline. THANK YOU GUYS FOR A JOB WELL DONE!

Matthew and Ben were great to work with. From beginning to end work progressed smoothly. They were there along the way to answer any questions or concerns.

We looked at a number of renovation companies and decided on Basement Builders Gold package based on their quick responses, professionalism and ability to answer all of our many many questions.

The process was great, much like building our house we tailored the carpet, tile, paint colours, bathroom fixtures, lighting etc. They matched the doors and baseboards/trim to the existing house. We also put in a bar with quartz.

Payment process was smooth based on progress payments. Don't go with someone who wants money up front, go with these guys.

Their trades were respectful, friendly, professional, and clean, an important point since people are coming and going for a couple of months and we have 3 young kids at home! The drywall dust didn't even dirty the upstairs!!

We are quite pleased with the work done by Basement Builders. They expect excellent work from the trades and it shows when everything is completed. Any problems were dealt with immediately and the trades coming in and out were always courteous. We would recommend Basement Builders!

Deciding to finish your basement is a big decision that should not be taken lightly. We live in an older home that has limited space so adding a second bathroom and some much-needed additional living space was something we wanted to do for a while. Our biggest questions were probably the same as anyone who is reading this: how much is this going to cost us? Will the work be high quality? and will the basement be finished on time?

With regards to question 1 the price was exactly what was quoted. The reason for this is because Matt and Ben made two visits to our house to discuss what we wanted, any potential issues that might arise and exactly what it would cost us so we knew what each step would entail and exactly what we were paying for.

The quality of work was exceptional. That this company guarantees their work with a 5-year warranty speaks to the level of confidence they have in their tradespeople. It also cannot be understated how well these guys know City of Calgary building code and it was a huge convenience to not have to be present when inspections were being done, as that would have meant taking time off work. While some contractors and homeowners may not feel that permits and inspections are important, I can tell you that we have peace of mind knowing that each element of our basement was constructed properly and more importantly safely.

The project was finished within days of the agreed finish date. As the project neared the end Basement Builders doubled their effort to get it done on time, which was much appreciated.

Basement Builders care about the service they provide. They legitimately want you to be happy with your investment and they make the process as hassle free as it can be. I truly believe that without this kind of detailed knowledge of building code etc. the process would not go nearly as smoothly as it did. We highly recommend using Basement Builders to finish your basement.
