After paying $40k cash for built-in closet space for a tiny condo unit, we did not get what was expected.

What was received: damaged and defective cabinetry with door and drawer edges cracked, chipped, split or peeling, malfunctioning hardware where drawers stick and cannot be opened without some punching, prying and tears, door and drawer fronts unevenly spaced or not flush with one another so some stick out more than others; silent treatment after notifying them of such numerous deficiencies and defects within weeks of the install (causing significant delays each time, they set up a few onsite visits to assess/fix the issues and each time their installer concluded that everything had to be returned to the shop to be fixed and redone properly. The new designer conceded that the shoe closet was poorly designed and had to be fixed. They did not follow through despite multiple pleas. They were then unresponsive and we eventually gave up trying after about 7 months. They dont seem to have or honour a reasonable warranty period - even within weeks of the installation)

What was received: according to their installers, our designer was not qualified and had disappeared before the project was completed

What was received: certain shelves that are impractical and useless because of their placement, a custom shoe closet riddled with manually drilled holes in random areas; shoe shelves that are at different/random angles (causing shoes to slide to the front and topple over each other), shelves that are not spaced apart evenly; shoe closet door that sticks out because it is hitting the front of the shelves

I've ordered mirrors from this place before and it was excellent, but things have changed. Probably ownership has changed. This time, it was a fiasco.

If you call and ask when your product will arrive, they will make up some excuse. I don't understand why they won't just tell you the truth. If it's late, then tell me it will be late and tell me that it will be two weeks; but these people love to make up stories. It's the brushing you off story that really makes me upset. Making up stories to appease a customer is a real insult.

When I pick up the mirrors, there's a scratch in it. Does it matter in the long run? No. Did they do it on purpose? Who knows. But either way, it was a scratch.

Was the mirror wrapped in some protective foam? Other mirrors were. When I asked why it wasn't, he told me they only wrapped framed mirrors. Unfortunately, for him, there were unframed mirrors wrapped in some foam and shrink wrap right next to mine. Again, another "make up some story so the customer may believe me." Maybe they only wrap mirrors that were not scratched. Maybe they only wrap mirrors on Friday, but not Saturday. I can make up stuff too!

Are they professional? Nope.
Do they make up stories? Yup.
Do they care about your business? Nope.
Do they take pride in their work? Nope.
Will I return? Nope.
Will I refer anyone to them? Never.

Don't hire this company and it's reno. team for your home. They are unqualified and unprofessional; Don't buy into their porfolio because a lot of the work they'd show are not even theirs.
Their work is cut cornered and below standard. They spent twice as long time on construction as they promised and still not finished; Everything from the cabinets, drywall, paint, flooring, electric, lightings, and some very basic reno work are terrible, it's unbelievable how even the fundamental works can be this bad.
When you point out deficiencies they will argue with you or choose only the simple ones to amend, or blame others for their unprofessionalism; Don't waste your money and your time.

Fred is a true professional.. delivered quality work and on time! His team is quite friendly, they all did what was promised . Absolutely no hazels! I would definitely recommend his work.

CFM did a great job. Fred and Ron were a pleasure to deal with. Great product for the money. They were able to come through for me when timing was tight. Smooth install, so only minor touch up and paint for the wall. They were clean as could be and cleaned up after themselves.

The quality of the work was amazing and the final finishing of the product was really clean. Small detail was looked after really well. Everything came out better then we could have imagined. Would recommend others to get work done from CFM closet organizers.

I have a pretty good size closet. The builder put in a cheap wire rack. It was extremely frustrating because a lot of space was being unused. I called Fred, one of the owners of this company and he met with me the same day. He was extremely kind, professional, honest, very knowledgeable about his products, reliable, accommodating and most importantly understood my vision. He gave me exactly what I wanted. A beautiful looking closet at a very reasonable price. He completed the job within 3 weeks as he promised. He knew I wanted the closet to be done asap and did his best accomate me. The day his employees installed the closet, the gentleman (3) were very respectful of my property (didn't damage anything), were very efficient and hardworking. I would highly recommend them to anyone. I met with 2 other closet companies and I found CFM Closet Organizers to be best! Most professional and reasonable. I am able to now store a lot of things in a very organized manner. Thank you to you and your team!!
