Terry was pleasant to deal with right from the get go. He showed up on the same day I called him to discuss basement waterproofing options. His crew showed up on time, cleaned up after themselves, and were great to deal with. I would definitely hire Direct Waterproofing again.

We initially hired Direct Waterproofing for exterior waterproofing based on Homestars reviews, but after seeing their work we also had them do additional interior waterproofing, as well as install a back water valve and sump pump. We worked with Terry and would highly recommend him and DW to our friends. He was extremely responsive right from the start and throughout the project, whether it was a call, a text or an email. Our project took about a week and he was constantly here checking on the progress and keeping us in the loop. The crew we had on site were great too. Its a messy job but they left the site spotless after they were done. And since it snowed while they were here, they shoveled the snow and helped us and our neighbours take our garbage bins to the curb on garbage day. Overall, it was a great experience and if we had another waterproofing project, we wouldnt hesitate to call them.

Terry was very professional, courteous, and responsive from the moment he answered my initial call throughout the entire engagement. He came over within a day to assess the situation, provide a strategy that made sense to me, and at a reasonable price. The repair work was completed to my satisfaction within days with the professional work of his crew. Moreover, a few days after the repair, I discovered a second (small) leak at a different spot of the foundation wall; I contacted Terry over the weekend, and he came again and fixed the leak at no additional cost. I truly had an excellent experience and I definetly recommend Direct Waterproofing services.

Our basement carpet began pooling a lot of water and we were at a loss of what to do. We had no idea if it was a pipe or a leak in the foundation or something else. We tried 2 other waterproofing contractors and neither one showed much interest when they came to look at it. Apparently we weren't going to be a big enough problem for them! They both told us they couldn't detect the problem without tearing apart our newly finished basement, and did nothing more than tell us to call them when we had the walls exposed. They didn't bother using any devices or trying to track where the water was coming from. It was discouraging to say the least to think about living through another huge mess, not to mention a possible massive repair bill.

Terry was an absolute professional from the moment we called him. He understood our anxiety and arranged to come out to see us that same week. He was thorough and examined the entire basement. He was the first contractor to use the electronic moisture detector to track the water in the walls. He determined that where the water was pooling was not where the leak was, and he himself cut a small hole in the ceiling to pinpoint the leak.

In the end what we thought might cost thousands of dollars and a headache of a messy repair only cost a few hundred to fix. Even more impressive, he even said that we could do the work ourselves much less expensively than it would cost for him to do it.

Needless to say, my wife and I were almost in shock! I wont say that we kind of expect contractors to try to gouge us, but we're always a little nervous.

Terry explained exactly the kind of product we could get and how to apply it, which we did immediately and the problem was solved.

So thankful to Terry and it's honestly just so refreshing to meet a professional who has not only the experience but also real integrity.

I had issues with water leaking in our basement after heavy rains and after talking with a few experts I realized I need to do waterproofing. Among all the companies I contacted to get quotes, direct waterproofing had the most reasonable prices.
Our project manager Terry was super professional and helpful. He provided all the information we needed and his team was super efficient and skilled in what they do. They finished the excavation and waterproofing in 3 days and installed a sump pump in a day. He did a great job of overseeing the work, from scheduling it in a timely fashion to checking in regularly with the work team. Once the work was completed, he provided a full set of photos showing the various areas we had waterproofed during the stages of the process. External Water proofing. Got a couple of quotes and gathered a lot of info. I sent out a message to Direct Waterproofing and within 20 minutes I got a call from Terry. He was on his way back from a job and stopped in to see the problem. He explained everything they were going to do and how. What materials etc. They arrived on schedule after a big snowfall and freezing rain. It was -10c and they started right away. They took pictures as they progressed through the job. I would recommend this company without hesitation. Thank you, Terry, Dono and John. I will let you guys know if the basement leaks in that area over the next 25 years. But I bet it doesn't. 10/10
