Mc Lean Siding And Windows

There are two parts to this type of project, the finished product and the process to get there. Both of these were done terribly by Mr. McLean. I ended up firing him before completion as, after many many attempts, I could not get him to finish the job.

Re. the process, on more times than I can count, he failed to respond to messages, both phone and email. On multiple occasions, he failed to arrive when he said he would.

Re. the final product, Mr. McLean did not properly attach the siding, and did not properly seal it where needed. A number of pieces were loose and some have even have fallen off. I tried several times to get these issues remedied, even going to his home as he lives near me, and still could not get the work done to correct the mistakes. Consequently, I hired someone to finish the sealing and I put the loose/fallen pieces back on myself.
As an added insult, he left copious amounts of garbage around the job, - nails, siding, screws, etc. I had to pay to have a flat tire repaired after I picked up a screw he left in the driveway.

In short, do not hire this company.

We have been waiting for him since September 2019 to swing by to reinstall some shingles that fell off our home since he did our whole home. We spent over $40000 on this job!! Not a small job!
We will not recommend the company till this gets done.
And it could be so easy....

Originally, we were just looking for someone local who could install metal roofing on a mobile home for a reasonable price. We found a few here on BBB and after discussing the details of the estimate with Mr. McLean, we decided to also replace the siding and skirting on the entire exterior of the mobile home. I knew after talking with him that he was the one for the project. He takes pride in his work and payed close attention to every detail, even the small ones. He even went beyond our expectation. We chose the colors but left the style and design in his expert hands. Mr. McLean is a friendly, conscientious, very knowledgeable, and reasonably priced contractor. It was a joy having him around every day working on our mobile home. He was always happy, listening to his music while he worked. We became good friends. It was a pleasure to watch him work. It is so quiet not having him around but I will be seeing him again soon as we have hired him for another job this fall.

McLean Siding and Windows were extremely professional and very knowledgeable. The staff very courteous and helpful. They did an amazing job!
