I got alarm system in August 2012 35.99 plus tax per month(Brampton, Ontario). In May 2016 I called ADT to cancel the service as I was getting cheaper service. The agent Hamza offered to match the price. He gave the same service for 28 plus tax. In August 2018 we moved to New Brunswick and rented our house. The tenants said that they don't want the alarm system, so I called ADT to cancel the service. They said that they will cancel the service but we have to pay the breach of contract. I asked them which contract and they said we have contract till 2021 and you have to pay 965. When I requested them to hear the recordings or show any proof that we said or signed the contract, they denied. I called and emailed them multiple times, but they couldn't provide the proof. They said to hear the recordings , they need letter from lawyer. This was simple mental harassment. Why would I pay FOR THE CONTRACT WHICH I NEVER I SIGNED OR SAID YES. Now they are saying that they will go in collection. They are simply harassing.
