Introduced myself to Barrier Sciences Group after learning of available energy rebates that would apply based on our desire to replace a 20 year old furnace. Tyler arrived for the initial assessment and was both thorough and easy (and willing) to talk through what he was testing for and what could be done to both maximize our energy savings as well as our potential rebate. Was presently surprised at the level of professionalism. Absolutely no issues and the rebate cheque was received as expected last week!

I needed an unplanned furnace and hot water tank replacement and was told about the enbridge rebate program requiring a pre and post renovation energy audit. I contacted Susan from BSG and she worked around my tight schedule to plan both visits. She was on time, friendly and knowledgable. Susan went above and beyond to make sure I knew what to do to qualify for the rebate. I appreciated the extra time she spent with me and would not hesitate to recommend Susan to anyone needing energy audit services.

Work was done in a very short period of time.It was explain well and I understood what had to be done and when. I recently was told that my file was excepted and am please with the process. I would recommend this program to anyone interested.

The next day your employee arrived on time and quickly did his job then explained the rebate and how to improve my homes for lover energy cost.
His follow up visit was again on time and informative.

Very pleased with Tyler's service from Barrier Sciences Group. He did a thorough inspection explaining my options for upgrading the different areas of the home renovation which would qualify for the rebate. The areas included upgrades in attic insulation, wall insulation, furnace, water heater, windows, doors and air sealing. I couldn't afford all upgrades so Tyler worked with me on what renos would benefit the most with my budget. The only negative l had was the time frame for doing the
actual work which is not the fault of Tyler. 120 days is minimal time when I'm doing the majority of the
renovation. A time frame of 6-12 months would be acceptable for a home owner. There is a wait of approximately 90 days after final inspection of the completed work before rebate cheque is received in the mail....l have 45 days to go. It's nice to receive some return from the expenses from renovation upgrades. I would contact Tyler again if l qualified for another rebate in a future renovation.

We recently purchased a new Carrier furnace and a new hot water tank.
With this we had Barrier Sciences Group assess our home and provide a efficiency diagnosis on our home.
The two visitations made by your group were very informative and we considered it to be time well spent and very informative in regard to additional ways of making our home more efficient.

They were friendly, clean and quick.
Very easy to work with. I had my attic insulated and they kept me informed on what they were doing.
Cleaned up mess perfect when they were done.

An approx of what I paid. Good fast informative service which helped me decide and sign up for rebates offered. Was given ideas on how to proceed with further improving my home insulation.

First audit - auditor was very pleasant and tried to explain a lot of things, but not so much as to listen as to what I have to say. Before, during and after the audit I clearly stated that I am more interested in rebate for home insurance from CMHC and not the regular Enbridge one. The whole time the Enbrdidge rebate program was what was pushed to me.
Post-assessment audit was only check, not real audit. Not very happy.
Another issue was that it was not clearly stated which water heaters will qualify for rebate.
Third issue was that on pre-assessment I was told if I execute certain items I will get certain rebates. Based on this I did more than originally planned. So all identified items complete and guess what - on the post assessment I am being told that I would get less because "for this house it will be really difficult to get" what I was told initially.

Overall - not satisfied and next time I will choose a different company.
