We hired Ben to do the design and apply for a permit form the City for the extension of our existing house. He was very professional, instant response and quick turn during the design, He also helped us to provide the alternative design option which is more practicable and reasonable in terms of cost and functionalities. He worked really efficiently, during the interaction of the design stage, he always provided us with the updated drawing, options, and suggestions within 24 hours in professional fashion, and he will explain the pros and cons for each option.
He also coordinated with other engineers well, like HVAC, and Structure engineer. During the stage of applying for a permit, he was directly dealing with the City. The whole process was so smooth, he made our whole thing easier than what we expected.
I highly recommend him and will hire him for my next design projects.

Ben was able to get our building permit very quickly. From coming to the house to take measurements to getting us the drawings to submitting the permit and receiving it, the whole process was probably a week or two. Ben was easy to work with and kept us abreast of everything throughout the process.

We used BBA for our two-storey rear extension project. They visited once to take thorough measures and talk to us about our desires and then prepared drawings and submitted all the paperwork for necessary permits. They incorporated an arborist to determine the maximum capabilities of building around our large walnut tree. They were realistic about expected timelines and kept us up to date as the paperwork progressed. Throughout they were very responsive via email to our questions (same day response!) and made revision requests very quickly. They demonstrated a deep and comprehensive knowledge of structural and design concepts all while being friendly and patient. A true pleasure to work with - highly recommended!
