A Mr. MacLeod ran/runs/is involved with this company, as well as another named Central Concrete Design. In my case, he's been found by Service Alberta's Consumer Investigations Unit to be in breach of several parts of the Fair Trading Act: having a non-compliant contract, not having a license to collect up-front deposits, and not returning a deposit when required. I am one of 6 people who have been in touch with each other that he has taken substantial deposits from and disappeared without completing the work. Our stories are very similar. In many of our cases, Mr. MacLeod has also been found by the City of Calgary of operating without a required license. I would encourage you not to provide money to this individual or company until the agreed-upon work is completed.
