I just got a beautiful new kitchen and washroom done by Ecocor construction Rami and his crew were very respectful of my house. I am in love with my new countertop and thank you Rami for adding water fall style counter top and the brushed steel finish faucet,

they weren't the cheapest quote I received and not the most expensive however it was worth it and end results are super satisfactory

Ecocor Construction is not a trustworthy company. They force their client's to post good reviews on social media and on homestars.com before the work is 100% completed. The owners of this company promise that they will complete a basement renovation in 3 weeks, which is also not the case. My basement renovation started on July 11th. It is now September 10th and …
- The floor is bubbling in areas
- Hanger rods in the closet have not been secured properly
- Top shelf in the closet is not secured to the wall properly (loose to the touch
- The paint on the wall looks patchy (walls were clearly not sanded down properly)
- The tile's on our wet bar have not been installed properly
○ Tiles are chipped in places
○ Tiles have not been cut properly to fit over counter space - it extends about .5in beyond counter
○ There is a gap were the tiles should meet under the cabinets
- The handles on the cabinets were installed crooked
- No transition strip on the floor between enclosed rooms
- The electrical work was done incorrectly, one of the lights remain on all the time, there is no working switch associated with it
○ I had previously questioned why that light was not turned on, the owner of the business advised that the bulb needed to be changed
- The light in the shower is just a regular pot light WITHOUT a waterproof casing around it

The owner's of this company told everyone in my family not to go downstairs. We were only allowed to see the basement while accompanied by the owner. However, one night we went down stairs at 4:00AM because we heard a loud noises. Turns out that their compressor was left plugged in which, caused the loud noises. That night we also noticed that the basement windows were left open, although we had asked them to ensure they are closed before they leave for the day. There have been other similar occasions where myself or a family member would go downstairs and would find things like …
- Coffee spilled next to the electrical panel
- Paint cans left open
- Tools left everywhere and unsecured
- Fruit and other foods and drinks left on the floor

Overall, the contract initially looks attractive as its stipulates that they will only work from Monday to Saturday between the hours of 7:00AM to 7:00PM, and if they are to go over the completion date (mine was August 15th) they are "to pay the homeowner $50 a day" until its completed. - No one ever showed up as early as 7:00AM and they absolutely, always stayed at least until 10:00PM
- There were always contractors and workers in our basement on Sundays
- We have yet to receive the $50 a day since August 15th

The owners tactic is to make you feel bad for him so that you will be more flexible with timing and days worked. The owner will keep throwing in small free bee's here and there and offer to complete other things around your house to make you feel like he's done more than what he was supposed to do. However, in actual fact, his work is horrible and literally expects you to consider all of these extra things, so that you will compromise on the outcome of the original work that needs to be done.

The last we heard from the owner is that he was going on vacation for 1 week. He had promised that his business partner will complete our basement during his absence. His business partner never showed up. So far I have …
- Called and left voicemails
- Attempted to text the owner
- Reached out to the owner through the Ecocor Instagram (direct messaging)
- Commented on his posts on Instagram to say that we are waiting for him to call
… I have yet to receive a response

Now, I am out about $45k and am purchasing materials to fix Ecocor Construction's work.

My husband and I found Ecocor online and arranged a meeting to discuss the finishing of our basement. They were dressed in uniforms and appeared to be friendly. We asked to see some basements they had worked on but they made it seem very difficult (suggesting that most of their work were far).
Per the contract and per their advertisements, they were supposed to have completed the basement in 3 weeks and pay us $50 for every day they exceed the three weeks. They started our basement on June 6th and it is still not complete. We haven’t received a dollar and Ecocor (the owners Rami and Ahmad) are nowhere to be found.
The parts of the basement which were done by sub-contractors were done in an acceptable manner. But any work done by Ecocor owners themselves were horrible (very amateur work). Throughout the engagement, the two owners (especially Rami) were very friendly and worked hard to build our trust, which he did. He would respond to calls and promise faithfully to fix their mistake and miscalculations until the day we made the last payment – He stopped responding. By the way, when you call Ecocor Construction, it goes to one of the owner’s cell phone and he chooses not to answer or return your call once you have pail him. In our case, they were working on the basement for someone else on our street, so he answered our calls and promised to come on three different days – we cancelled our plans to meet with them but they kept us waiting without a call or anything. Once they got paid by the other victims on our street, they never answered or return our calls/text messages again.
During the job, they kept the place extremely messy. Even after they were gone, they left dangerous tools and chemicals behind (even though they know we have kids). The garbage container, they had on our driveway has ruined our newly done driveway, which we raised as a concern and they promised it wouldn’t happen.

As of today, the following are still outstanding:
• Electrical Permit never received – as part of their sales pitch, they promised proper electrical inspection and electrical permit. We never received this. We have no idea whether an inspection was actually done.
• Complete replacement of our floor (floors are bubbling - they said it was due to moisture and will correct itself. Once this proved not to be the case, they promised to replace it as part of their “warranty”
• Washroom mirror – not installed. Instead an electrical outlet is there, so a mirror cannot be centered.
• All doors make loud noises and cannot open smoothly (doors get stuck when trying to open them)
• Washroom light fixture not working.
• Door locks not working
• Range hood installed crooked and light on range hood not working
• Hole in the ceiling patched sloppily and covered with different color paint
• Backsplash poorly installed – large holes in the grout

The owners have a strategy – to share personal and made up stories (about how they are having difficulties with other jobs and losing money, to promise freebees and to convince you that you are the best clients so you can cut him slacks when they are falling behind or do substandard work. Also, their tactics help to persuade clients to trust them and pay them before they complete the job (pay them on the agreed upon end date, even though they are not done). Once you pay him, they disappears. They also tell you they are losing money on your job and are personally pitching in (part of the plight)
Beware of their tactics!

Additional note - the owners use their charm to convince you to write positive review before the finishing is done. As such, I had written a favourable review pre-maturely.

The team at ecocor recently finished my basement. I'm glad to say that the team was beyond professional and the basement was complete in 3 weeks as promised. The basement looks beyond amazing and I'm happy with the outcome. I would highly recommend ecocor construction.

Ecocor Construction provided a very high quality result for our bath remodel project. They were easy to communicate with, providing input when needed while still adhering to our rather detailed vision. Once started all work proceeded steadily and without delay. Demolition was neat and quick. Marble tile work was precise. Plumbing, electrical and new glass fixtures look great and function perfectly. Work areas were kept neat and adjacent rooms well protected throughout construction. Cost was very reasonable.

We wanted to express our appreciation for the great job Ecocor Construction did on our kitchen. The kitchen designs and installation exceeded expectations. Several friends have commented that the design should be in a magazine. Rami did a great job managing the project and coordinating with his team of skilled contractors. Taking on this type of project is a major investment of both time and money so it’s imperative that you have the right team in place.
We made the right choice in selecting Rami and his team to complete this project for us. We’d be happy to recommend them to others considering renovations.

The crew did an absolutely amazing renovation of our basement. Every aspect of their work was highly professional and courteous. Our project managers  Rami and Ahmed did a fantastic job of working with our ideas to create a successful plan. The end result was spectacular, with each detail impeccably done. We had always wanted to finish our basement but didn't really think we could do it. ECOCOR made that dream a reality. The new bathrooms are beautiful and the tile was laid exactly how we planned it. Each floor of the house was updated. The painting, repairs, carpeting and top to bottom cleaning were all done with care and attention to detail. I highly recommend this company. They have integrity and strive to make the customer happy with the completed work
