Frm Contracting

This work was done almost a year ago. I waited this long to have an honest opinion. I contracted Fenton after getting couple of quotes. He was not the cheapest and not the most expensive. What I liked about him that Fenton went over and beyond the original ask when he was faced with issues that came up after removing drywall, like damaged steel studs, and he did not charge me for it. He also added a different bathroom shower head after installing the first one, on request. He

Fenton did take about 2 weeks extra, due to running into unseen issues. He is also a one man working machine, and in some situations where he had to shuttle back and forth for materials it would take extra time. However I was in a position to be not greatly inconvenienced with it as I had a second bathroom.

6 months later the sink caulking came loose, and so did the sink with it. Due to splashing of water when using the sink counter top bubbled up in couple of locations, including in a spot above one cabinet drawer that now I can not open. I do think that perhaps I made a mistake in selecting the countertop. Left a message to Fenton but I am still nowhere to a resolution. I understand its not his responsibility to provide after-project support, so it is what it is.

Despite the above incident 6 months later, I would give Fenton 8/10. He was very pleasant, professional, patient and one of the better contractors I have dealt with. Above all, he was a straight shooter, and did not take multiple jobs while he was doing mine even though it went longer than expected.
