Penney’s Roofing & General Contracting

I was contacted through Homestars by the owner Matt. I needed 10 shingles replaced (I supplied the shingles). He gave me a quote but I thought he may come down to at least half once he came and saw how small the job was. He didn't come and I'm pretty sure he passed the job off to another company to justify the price. I'm not happy with the cost of a 15 minute fix.

The recommendation rating is solely based on the price. I'm happy with the fix, wouldn't use him again though.

Matt and his crew came on time, did an awesome job and went above and beyond to make me happy doing a few extras. I am super pleased with their work. I highly recommend them!

Matt of {Penney's Roofing & General Contracting made the whole process of replacing our roof very easy. From his presentation and bid for the job, to answering all of our questions, keeping us updated on the installation date and answering more of our questions. Matt and his crew showed up on time on the day of the installation. They were professional, courtesy to our neighbours and worked hard all day. Once the roof was completed, they cleaned our property up and left it as neat as when they arrived. Overall it was a great experience.

Matt and his team did an excellent job...they turned up on time got right to work they where very professional when the job was finished they cleaned up and apparently from a great looking new roof you would never know they were here...

excellent workmanship! Matthew was extremely helpful with questions and responded to emails within hours of receiving. The cleanup by workers was exceptional, I even had neighbours stopping me on the street commenting on the professionalism of Penney's Roofing! I would HIGHLY recommend their service!

Since day 1, Matt stood above in his professionalism and easy going nature. He took the time to explain to us newbies what roof replacement entailed, and his analysis of what work our home needed done. He was patient and explanatory, and we never felt pressure from him. He highlighted that our downspouts needed re-routing, and that our roof was pretty grossly deteriorated, all of which, of course, we couldn't see for ourselves!

He worked with us to expedite our roof replacement as we're far along in pregnancy, keeping us up to speed about when to expect the crew, and taking photos of their progress so far so we had a sense of what was happening up top. Work was completed in 2 days, and that included a full clean up of our property (They even re-installed our garden lights and halloween decorations after the job was done - like they had never been touched in the first place!). Matt even pointed out that some of our eavestroughs were starting to come loose, which we wouldn't have known without his crews expertise.

Absolutely would recommend, and will work with Matt and his crew again in the future! A delight to deal with from start to finish.
