Northland Building Supplies Ltd.

Our home, built in 2020 was supplied with roof trusses from Northland, with the builder being New Era Luxury Homes. We have had an abnormal (not within acceptable tolerance limits) amount of truss lift and abnormal deflection from truss loading. In the worst spots in the home, the deflection and truss uplift is in excess of two inches and has destroyed the drywall throughout the entire second floor of the house. We had to hire a structural engineer out of our own pocket to help identify the cause and possible solutions, and it was pointed out that there is an engineering problem with the trusses which requires further engineering calculations to be done at a cost of thousands of dollars to see where the manufacturer went wrong with truss design and construction. I wish I could give a positive review, but with this experience that is not possible.

We just got our dream Garage/Shop built by Northland Building Supplies and we are extremely pleased and will be able to accommodate a hoist. We had our own design ideas and got quotes from other builders but it was NBS that we choose to work with because of their flexibility through all stages of the project. Their staff is experienced and very professional from the design and blueprint phase to the final finish. Our site manager, Brent, did an excellent job of scheduling and coordinating all of the various trades to get the job done, in spite of Edmonton’s’ extraordinarily wet summer weather.
We are very happy with our unique Garage/Shop which is over 800 sq. ft. and designed to fit our pie-shaped lot and its true that NBS build a quality product at a great price.
NBS arranged the entire build and all of the trades were very skilled and did an excellent job. Since we had our own design ideas, we really appreciated that they allowed us to make minor adjustments along the way to improve on our final build.
We would definitely recommend Northland Building Supplies to anyone wanting to build a garage. They were extremely flexible and with all of their experience, they gave us great suggestions and design ideas.

Great customer service , easy to work with , reliable tradesmen , and any concerns were dealt with and costs mentioned up front were accurate.
