This company is good to work with and workers are very good people and Alex is very nice person to wirk with , I am recommended more jobs for his company to do the job , here after I will refer this company more jobs to Alex. We hired Alex and Slon Construction to soundproof a bedroom wall in our condo. From our first meeting, it was a pleasure working with Alex. He was friendly, thoughtful, knowledgeable, and professional. He's committed to providing high quality work, and his commitment comes through in every aspect of the job.

We were also very impressed with his team. Even before starting the job, they took great care in covering all the floors and surfaces. They applied the same level of care to the soundproofing, and completed every little detail precisely. The quality of the work is outstanding, and we're very pleased with the result.

Needing a contractor for my seriously outdated victorian semi I found Slon construction on homestars. I am really pleased I did. They levelled and replaced all floors upstairs, installed closets, fitted new windows and opened up an old small and dark kitchen and annex into a fantastic light filled kitchen/ family room opening to back yard. They also put Stucco on the outside transforming the look of the back of house. Alex is really friendly, super responsive and has great suggestions and high standards and his team were polite, respectful and extremely hard working. The old building threw up a few challenges on the way but Alex and team sorted them all perfectly to transform my home.

I plan to get them back to refit my basement next year. Highly recommend.

We hired Alex to install European style windows and doors in our old building. He was able to match a hard to find french door style wooden window and replaced it with a triple pane vinyl window. We couldn't be happier. As the windows are imported from overseas they do cost more, but the quality is fabulous and we got to keep the same look as the old ones. No other company could get us what we wanted at a reasonable price.

Alex is professional, courteous and really cares about the quality of the work provided his team. IF any issues arise he is right there to make it right.

I was downsizing from a detached home to a condo, and as I wasn't used to other people's noise, I decided to play it safe and soundproof a long bedroom wall that adjoins the bedroom of the unit next door. I checked out companies online and went with Alex and Slon because of the Home Star reviews. You never know when you get your advice online, but Alex was great--a genuinely good guy. The work was perfect and clean, Alex led me through the process and complied quickly with the many building requirements for diagrams and work descriptions, he was friendly and clear, always on time, and the cost was very reasonable considering all the steps required when you're soundproofing. I couldn't be happier. Highly recommended
