Self Build Canada gets the job done. Steve and his team are very professional, precise and reliable. It was a great experience working with Steve. He was always open to answering any and all questions, not only related to the current project but other work being completed.
When it came to pouring the slab, steve was very intentive, making sure everything was done correctly and ran smoothly. He had come to give a initial quote and followed up the day before the pour, making sure everything was in order to pour easily the next day.
Would highly recommend and use self build for future cement and mansory work.

We used Self Build for a large home addition. We really appreciated that they were extremely responsive to our needs, phone calls and texts. They conducted themselves with a high degree of integrity, and ensured that they didn't leave the project until we were 100% satisfied. We had some minor additional work that needed to be done, outside of the scope of the project (discovery issues), and we were grateful that they didn’t overcharge for this additional work. It was a pleasure working with Feargus and Steve (despite how stressful a large project can be), and we highly recommend this company.

Fergus and his team did an excellent job. The work I required was not extensive but the the service I received was exactly what was needed. I highly recommend this company.

May 2019. My project entailed widening my driveway by removing a 20' X 5' X 4' section of a small hill beside my driveway and the installation of a 3' high 20' long, block and mortar retaining wall.
Feargus from Self Build Canada came to review the project within a couple of days of my request and we agreed on the scope of the project and the price.

I found him to be very knowledgeable and he made some very helpful suggestions. I was also very pleased to find out he was not a sales rep, he was the guy who, with his crew, was going to be on site doing the work.
Feargus scheduled my project for the following Friday. On Friday morning Feargus arrived with his crew and completed the digging, installation of the footing, and thoroughly cleaned the site.

They returned the next day and completed the wall. Two days later they came back to complete the driveway asphalt as we had to wait 2 days to allow the wall the dry.
While digging Feargus found an underground pipe that required a design change. With my approval he modified the design to accommodate the obstacle and DID NOT charge extra.

I will definitely use Self Build Canada (Feargus) again for future projects.
In conclusion: He showed up when he said he would show up, did exactly what he said he was going to do, left the site perfectly clean, and his price was very competitive.

The project involves demo and removal of the old wall and steps; and rebuild of new wall and steps. This involved installing a new foundation for the wall, installation of
concrete block retaining wall, sweeping tile, waterproofing, and new poured concrete steps. The team was very professional: excellent job description in the quote, clear communication, great workmanship, no awkward post-work negotiations. They went above and beyond. Would not hesitate to recommend them.

Feargus and team were fantastic to work with - tidy, curtious, flexible and they do great work! He came out several times to verify/refine the scope and provided a detailed quote, which we reviewed together to ensure our expectations matched. The timelines were bang on and the cost was very reasonable vs. his completion. I would not hesitate to engage the team again in the future.

I’m installing a new stairs to my basement. Annoyingly, it will run right alongside an existing basement window. I contacted Self Build in order to see if they could block up the window for me. Despite having a busy schedule, they managed to fit me in within two days of initial contact. The job only took about 2 hours. Not only did they block up the wall, they straightened the brickwork arch that was originally over the window so that it wouldn’t be obvious that there was ever a window there. They were fast, efficient and clean. I would highly recommend these guys and I will definitely use them again for future projects.

Feargus and his team did a wonderful job with the demolition of
our carport and construction of a patio, fencing and custom bicycle locker. He and his crew were a pleasure to work with. Pricing was reasonable and workmanship was top-notch. The original scope executed to the initial timeline and budget. Owner initiated changes in scope after the project was underway were handled fairly. I would definitely use Self Build Canada again for future projects and recommend them to others.

We had our front steps redone and I was amazed on the workmanship and the ease of getting this done with Feargus and his team. They know what they are doing and they are quick. We highly recommend them.

Feargus and his team did a great job with my front and back flagstone walkway. It looks fantastic and they got it done on time and within the budget.
